Victor Vran was mostly enjoyable but started to feel grindy toward the end. It just wasn’t fun trying to level up enough (or transmute weapons so they would be better) as I continued. The DLC seems to add about half of the achievements so this will end up being a low % completion game.

Scrap Garden and its prequel were both short & enjoyable. Some of the boss fights were annoying, but they weren’t the worst there is either.

The Adventurous Four is a sequel to Wild Island Quest, which I think I got for free somewhere. It is funny but doesn’t really intend to be - where it is so bad in places that it is funny.

Placement is a fairly small but interesting puzzle game.

I stumbled upon the Snail Trek series on sale a few weeks ago. Just reading the games’ titles I knew I would enjoy the humor - and I was not disappointed. All 4 are fairly short, but very entertaining.

Poly Towns was fairly bland and pretty typical of “Unity Personal Edition” with plenty of graphical bugs and a half thought-out game. Still, I left a positive review because the developer answered an email within hours after I found a minor but game-breaking Steam-related bug.

Pan-Pan had been on my wishlist a while and had a really nice discount so I picked it up. It is short, but I enjoyed my time with this adventure puzzle game as I tried to figure out what I was doing. Most of the puzzles were good, and the sounds were a treat.

I really wanted to like Schrödinger’s Cat, and I really tried. But, no amount of good puns and funny jokes can overcome the terribly loose controls.

Caravan is an enjoyable adventure/trading game. After a slight learning curve the game becomes fairly easy. The first 2-3 hours are a slow struggle though.

Before picking up One Night Stand I wasn’t sure if I was going to get a game that was funny, trashy, silly, or some sort of mix. It was a bit boring (and at times tedious), but it pretty much met my expectations of being OK - nothing special.

Game Corp DX is a cheap game from Endless Loop. It is par for the course in what I expected - fun, casual, enjoyable for several hours.

Under Leaves is a nice, cute hidden object game that met my expectations. Now that I purchased it, I’m sure it will be in a bundle soon.

The Mind of Marlo and How To Cope With Boredom and Loneliness are from the same developer, and interestingly, the free one is funnier than that pay-for. Both were funny enough.

I did not expect OVIVO to be as difficult as it is, but maybe I should have looked closer at the developer’s name (IzHard). It has a a nice flow and great sound/art, I just was not very good at it.

Perils of Man was a cheap splurge purchase (90% off). It is not really anything special, but if you really like point-and-click games, it may be for you.

Her Majesty’s SPIFFING met my expectations - it is a funny satire, and I fully enjoyed it. If you find the trailer entertaining, you will probably enjoy the game.

(some of my recent Steam reviews are here if any one wants to see slightly more detail)

Finally, a shout-out to The Caribbean Sail which had a huge update recently that really added a lot to the gameplay. The developer is great, and really open to feedback from the community. I don’t have a definition of “hidden gem” but this game really needs to get in the hands of more players, as I have sunk (pun intended) many entertaining, casual hours into this one.

I sincerely thank you for helping me discover Placement, I immediately purchased it. I played KNIGHTS and loved it, I really enjoy the puzzle aspect of chess rather than just playing normally against an AI or a human opponent. Again thank you so much.

I thoroughly enjoyed Under Leaves though sadly I found the DLC far easier than the base game. There were times I got stuck in the base game and struggled to find that last missing hidden item whereas it was so smooth in the DLC. Very cute and enjoyable game nonetheless. I hope they keep making more.

Enjoy Placement!

I agree, the expansion locations in Under Leaves were much easier than the original, I wonder if that was based on feedback. In the original locations, sometimes I felt like I was taking a color-blind test :)
