Played Death’s Hangover, a game based on the Arkanoid (or “ball and bat”, as they say in the description) idea but with a story added to it.
I liked it, story is simple and it’s there to give you some background on what’s happening and why you’re doing it, instead of leaving you there mindlessly hitting stuff; it may also cause you some chuckles but do not expect to find any RPG-like deepness.
You move one of two Death’s minions, Andy, who holds the mattress that lets Bob (the one inside the spiked ball) bounce around the levels.
Along your journey you have to, of course, defeat various enemies but you also have to free imprisoned souls.

Mind you, dear achievement hunter, that about 75% of the achievements are related to this quest (one achievement per freed soul).
One playthrough is not enough to 100% this game, not only because there are alternative paths but also because floors have 3-4 souls each, yet you get the possibility to free only one of those per run and, if that’s not enough, souls are chosen randomly, so you may end up freeing a soul you had already before.

Boss fights are various and mob stages leading to them are usually short, sometime you may need a bit more of aim (to hit switches and such) and planning to avoid leaving the floor earlier than expected (all the more if you want to collect souls).
Some levels were a bit too close to being frustrating imho (wait till that sort of bridge levels and you’ll get why), but that was also part of the challenge :)

From a very cursory glance at the store screenshots I thought it was a boss rush game like Titan Souls, I completely misunderstood what it was about :P
I actually think I’m gonna pick it up from the Chrono coins store, it looks like an hour or two of fun ^_^

You can also find it on Tremor (that’s where I got it from) if you prefer :)

If you like the genre I’d say go for it :)
I’ve not written in detail about the game to leave a bit of surprise but there’s more stuff waiting there :)
