January 2026

This was a great month where I could really enjoy gaming and have the desire to game even after a stressful day at work, which is a feeling I love to have. Four of the games beaten were picked by PoP although I actually had two of them installed and planned to play in January, but it is indeed great when things line up that well.
I’m enjoying having 1/2 games I can focus and play through depending on the amount of time and attention I can give each day, and an additional third game to play in short bursts (this month it was Glass Masquerade 2). I really feel like there’s a good balance with this “system” and that I will hopefully maintain it when I do have the free time to play.

Beautiful game! The art and music are spectacular. Only the story leaves a bit to be desired, but there's definitely room to improve on the sequel, which I'm looking forward to.

I don't play many JRPG but this one is indeed fantastic. I loved pretty much all the characters and was sad that I couldn't have them all on my party!

I felt like most of the first part was very slow and longer than the second part. I ended up caring about Kat and Nora, but couldn't really give a crap about Swann and Autumn – not sure if it was just me or not that felt that way. I feel like that there were a lot of things unanswered at the end of the game. What I most enjoyed was actually the time setting and the Summer teenage "vibes" and time spent there.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series

It was good to get back to the Telltale gameplay after some time. I've never read the books but I did watch and enjoy the TV show, so this was a good addition to that universe. Initially the voice acting felt a bit strange and off-beat, but I got 'used' to it after the first episode. I definitely enjoyed the time I spent space-walking more than some other missions – for example, episode 4 I could not enjoy at all. But the DLC was a nice addition and, although a change of pace to the main episodes, still felt fun to play through.

Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions

I preferred the overall theme and stained glasses/puzzles on the first game, but this one was still enjoyable to play through. However, the whole map navigation was very bothersome, though, because the puzzle "preview" and description took a bunch of space of the screen and it was hard to navigate through the map and choose the next puzzle.
