August - December 2025!!

Wow… it’s been that long. I bought an apartment. It has been a very stressful and busy few months, so very little or no gaming most of this period.

August - I played Cursed to Golf and Toaster Jam
September - I played Crime Boss: Rockay City and Dorfromantik
October - I played nothing
November - I played nothing
December - I played My Time at Sandrock, Crime Boss: Rockay City, BlazBlue Entropy Effect, Tunguska: The Visitation - Final Cut, and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

Not many assassinations, but let’s do a brief report to try and get back on track.

Steam

Backlog Additions

I added quite a few games at the start of January before writing this, which makes calculating my end-of-year stats (below) a bit difficult now. Focusing just on titles, I added these games in the Aug-Dec period - Leaf it Alone, Marsupilami: Hoobadventure, Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip, Lil Gator Game, SteamWorld Heist II, and Everholm.

Progress in 2025

I update the numbers in the ‘stats’ section of my profile a bit more regularly (most of the time), but try and post my end-of-year stats around this time. I added 6 games to my account in January before writing this post. Removing them doesn’t change my BLAEO percentages at all, but it makes me feel a little better! No real change, but at least I didn’t add a lot of games to my library.

Congratulations on buying the apartment! Best of luck.
How has it been living in Japan for so long? I visited it two years ago and loved it, but due to what is commonly said about the work culture there (and hard language) I can’t imagine how it is to actually live there being a foreigner.

The language is the biggest hurdle. I should be much better than I actually am after living here this long, but I’m not the greatest at languages and don’t study consistently enough. There’s a lot more English than when I first arrived though (in Tokyo at least), and advances in tech help a lot.
I guess the other biggest hurdle is that, unlike other countries, if you look non-Japanese then you’ll always be seen as an ‘outsider’ and treated as such.
Everything else, I think I’ve adapted to and it seems normal to me. Being in a different culture keeps things interesting and makes you think, even when you’re doing everyday things. I like that aspect.

I’ve heard of some of those issues but it’s always good to know more about them by someone who experienced it.
Glad to know you’re still enjoying it! :)
