Makki

Still Wakes the Deep - it is on-rails walking simulator from The Chinese Room, that probably tells you everything you need to know in order to determine if this game is for you. It all happens on the oil rig, they drilled somewhere they shouldn’t have to and awake some monster entity. There’s not too much to write about story, it just exists. It will certainly not glue you to the monitor in expectations what will happen next. The vast majority of crew are from Scotland and that was refreshing because we don’t get to hear that accent often in games. There are a couple of funny jokes (being Barnsley fan was tough in ’70s I guess) but they are rare. There are no exploring the rig at all, you just move from point A to point B to move the story further. Couple of puzzles would be welcomed to change the pace a little but there is not a single one in the whole game. At least it is short and doesn’t overstay its welcome, about 5 hours. Game has paid dlc with more than a third of its achievements tied to it for those who care about 100%.
