2-Week Report: June

Half-Life 2
Beaten -> Completed

Virtual Cottage

100 hours
8 of 8 achievements

No actual games played in the last two weeks, just some free idle achievements.

Non-Progress

5.23% (47/899)
4.67% (42/899)
2.67% (24/899)
87.21% (784/899)
0.22% (2/899)

The real report this time around is that I only bought one game in the last two weeks—Deltarune! So, while no real progress was made on the backlog, it didn’t get bigger, either, and that’s a bigger win than last time.

this looks so cozy, any chance you know about something similar that lets you customise the space or is more gamified?

The two others that I’ve played are ChillPulse and Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. ChillPulse has a pixel art style and various scenes you can swap between, and each one tells a short story through text messages you receive in between focus sessions. You can also send encouraging messages to other players just like in another game called Kind Words, where it’s the central feature of the game. Spirit City runs on unreal engine, has way more customizability, and the “gameplay” is all about using those customization options to lure out spirits so you can complete a bestiary. I have a soft spot for ChillPulse, but most people will probably agree that Spirit City is the better game, though it is more than double the price and has a couple DLCs on top. The dev of Virtual Cottage is also working on a sequel that lets you customize the cottage, so there’s that. I’m not sure if it will be a free download though.

nicee, thanks for the recs! Both of them seem like great games to pull up when uni gets tough again
