March 2026

The games I originally planned to beat this month were Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Choice of Robots, Danganronpa 1, and Dredge, but unfortunately I was only able to beat 2/4. The reason is that I won My Time at Sandrock at a giveaway over at SteamGifts and I had been wanting to join one of those “beat the game you win” groups. I had chosen MTAS as my game of choice (you had to pick an unplayed game and then beat it to be approved to join). And it’s a really long game.

My thoughts on the games that I beat this month:
Choice of Robots: Better than what I remembered. I really love this “game”. I think I did 2-3 playthroughs? I’ll probably revisit it at some point as there’s still a lot of content I haven’t seen. It does make me want to play more games of the similar genre. I do have one that I’ve never beaten at all in my library (Life of a Space Force Captain), I might play that soon. I guess I’ll see what I feel. I still have other games I want to beat first.
Dredge: The early to mid game was a great experience, but endgame was pretty boring. It really loses its steam once you have upgraded your ship.
My Time at Sandrock: I really liked it at first but it just went on and on and on, and by act 3, I was kind of sick of it and pretty much just rushed it so I can be done with the game. I still like it though. I think the fatigue I felt was because I played it too much. I’m looking forward on replaying it in the future and just taking my time.

Goals for April 2026

I’ve also played other games during March that I did not beat before the month ended. Which are the following listed below. I want to beat them first before trying another game. Amnesia’s really scary, but I’ll make sure to beat that this month. Danganronpa I played a bit (the prior hours was from idle farming cards) and to be honest, I was surprised that you could actually move in it. I thought it was going to be more like the typical visual novel and while I have heard before that it’s one of the games with a “gameplay”, I was expecting something like Ace Attorney’s or Zero Escape 999’s. I did not realize I’d actually be able to move around. And as for Beneath a Steel Sky, this one I never planned to play in my prior post at all, but its sequel was one of the games I’ve won in SG before and I want to beat that game at some point. I just want to play its (free, I might add) prequel first. I’m actually half-way through already so I’m probably going to try and beat it first.
