Alright. May is basically in the books. I spent the majority of the month playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, both of which were a lot of fun and easily the highlights of the month. I’m closing out the month playing Elden Ring Nightreign, which is also a lot of fun. Kinda PUBG: Elden Ring style. Super-fast paced. No damage from falling or what have you. Leveling doesn’t include RPG mechanics. It’s simplified and sped up since it’s a 3vE battle royale type format.
May Completions
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

Had a great time revisiting this. Graphics upgrades were nice, QoL upgrades were welcome.
Still is fairly well a mess from an optimization and especially from a stability standpoint, but the game itself is pretty amazing.
Was just delisted the other day. It's an endless delivery game. At the moment, outside of upgrading your parcel bag, there are no real objectives other than delivering parcels endlessly. It's a quaint little game.

Cool sci-fi Lovecraftian TCG - TRPG - Roguelike type game. I've completed the game several times but have not managed to see the true ending.
Unique little puzzle game where you use sound to solve each level, and the screen is in fact black throughout your playthrough. Cool premise and excellent execution.
May Retirements
- Goldenheart - Okay RPG, mostly linear. But ultimately pretty meh.
- Roots of Harmony - ASCII based game. Super challenging and just not my cup of tea.
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition - For me, this hasn’t aged well and IDK. I’ve just moved on from it despite having fond memories of it from back in the day.
- Talented - Actually, this is a quality game. I just don’t love the key mashing aspect of it.
- No Sun to Worship - Pretty janky stealth focused game that I just wasn’t feeling. I do like the dev quite a bit, but this game wasn’t it.
- Neva - It’s just too emotionally sad. I’m not really into feeling sad when playing games.
- Metal Slug Tactics - Another quality game. It’s also pretty cool. But IDK. It was a bit too arcade-y for me despite being a TRPG.
- Starless Abyss - This is on both lists, lol. Finished it several times, but I kinda gave up on seeing the true ending due to the final final boss fight being pretty unfair IMO.
- Envyus - Cool slightly open world RPG, super old school and janky. I like it, but the combat is kind of broken, unfortunately.
Plans for June
June will, on a personal level, feature a lot of packing, selling stuff I don’t want anymore, and generally downsizing in preparation for moving from Colorado to Washington end of July. But I still anticipate playing more Elden Ring Nightreign, and I’ll also dive into Cyber Knights: Flashpoint, which leaves early access in a couple days. Also on the agenda are Sumerian Six, Animal Well, and maybe even Cyberpunk 2077. We’ll see how it goes.
I’m aware that the BLAEO generator didn’t generate the proper pictures/link for Starless Abyss. :)
Congratulations on your assassinations!!! ᓚᘏᗢ
Oblivion looks really impressive!!! I’m not sure about the faces though, and as I usually play Argonian I haven’t really liked the character models for them. 100 hours though…
Thanks!
Jah. It could easily have been 200-300 hours, but I’ve done every side quest multiple times in the past, so I wasn’t feeling any real hurry to do everything available in the game. Oblivion is definitely an all-timer.
