dun dun nuhh… I wanted to finish more than two games and post, but I’m slow and I stopped playing Elliot Quest when I got ‘lost’ but apparently I just missed the end area of where I was and then wasted an hour exploring a bunch of maps and it felt like mindless gaming and a waste of my time (which irked me so much I stopped for a week). That’s Zelda II homage, I guess.

The game was fairly fun other than the fact I just missed the area, but it’s pretty open and just go “explore and figure out what to do” so much you can go get stuck on a mini-boss if you backtrack and you can’t actually attack it if you don’t have the boots to jump on an enemy or the rock spell (which you might get soon after the boots anyway)

  • Elliot Quest

    23 hours playtime

I also have +2 wins to add to my log now and -2 from finishing, and now I’ll probably play Oxenfree that I won a group soon.. after Stray Cat Crossing so I can have a change of pace from endless exploring. So I guess I’ll work on these four next and hope I win less though I don’t enter too many really. I kind of want to play Slime Rancher so I can have a mindlessly fun time, though, but.. I want to finish a few more games first.

  • Stray Cat Crossing

  • Titan Souls

  • The Last Door - Collector's Edition

    0 minutes playtime

    0 of 16 achievements

  • Oxenfree

Only 27% finished wins (now).. seems so low and terrible. Hmm
edit: now 29%.. with Stray Cat done. Act III’s loop is really terrible if you miss the door on the stage until you notice it.

Stray Cat Crossing is so short it may as well be 3 finished. Only 30 more minutes and the game will probably be… done.

edit: and now Titan Souls is. Time to move on.. to another.

What did you think about Stray Cat? I played it some time ago and just loved it. Art style, story and atmosphere were all good. The story is really great, even though it is open to think what happened or not.
I have Titan Souls in my library, but still need to play it. It seems a hard game for what I read and some people told me about. Good thing in my case because I like hard games \o/
Hope you enjoy Oxenfree… It is a wonderful game :3

I liked the art style and the music for Stray Cat which reminds me to go see if it’s available somewhere. Atmosphere was nice, I think, but I don’t think I appreciate the story all that much. Just no strong feelings about it. At the end, I just thought “so, that is roughly what happened.”
I played LiEat and enjoyed that game a lot for some reason, though I would think the story for Stray Cat had more of a focus on story (at least by the end).

Titan Souls is a fun and challenging game (or was for me) until you eventually learn how to tackle it. Just the usual patterns to learn, though some of them I didn’t learn after finishing. Videos could probably help if you wanted to do the extreme Iron Man mode (one life or Game Over). It only took me around 6 hours, but I missed a few bosses to face the last part after the game bringing it to 7. Played a few hours more to get boss achievements and then stopped since the rest are demanding for replaying the entire game.

Spoilers for how to kill one boss and why it may not all be that challenging:
The Brain boss can be abused because it can’t kill you if you hug the wall (this is also possibly(?) intended to get the achievement)
Others might be able to work like that making it easier for Iron Man, or just faster to get through.

I only played an hour of Oxefree and put it down to take a break, but I’m looking forward to it. The voice acting seems nice and is generally something that keeps up a pace to go with the game. Sort of makes me feel like it’s a TV series in a way. I like it, anyway, but I spoiled myself accidentally on what is probably a partially big part of the story. I should have never looked at the spoilers.

For me, its story was really nice, confuse, but great. But well, maybe I just like everything hahaah ;p
I never played LiEat, but some friends told about it and that it is a nice game.

The challenge part about Titan Souls was one of the reasons I got this game, even if I need to die 100 times until learn what to do, is all good to me :p
Oh, I sorry to hear that you got a free spoiler about Oxenfree… I should be a lucky person and rarely get any spoilers about games. But hopefully it will have many surprises \o hope you enjoy Oxenfree… Looking foward to read your thought about it here :D

Heh. I guess I’ll try to finish a few games and then tie it in. Not sure my thoughts will be spectacular with detail, though.
