Wow, great progress! Congrats on the FAR: Lone Sails speedrun. It looks like you got it on your second playthrough? I watched some vids, wrote down some notes, etc….but when I actually went to make an attempt, it was a disaster. I couldn’t do any of the tricks I’d practiced, and everything seemed to go wrong. I aborted my attempt around the time of the installation of the “sucker” module, then just continued leisurely until I got the 9001 achievement. I guess I should try again sometime.

How did you like Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture? It’s on my wishlist.

thanks man, i appreciate it. yeah i did it on my second run. i don’t remember it being too difficult although i was unsure if i was actually gonna get it, i know i cut it pretty close. the 9001 was the real annoyance. i just kept reloading one of the chapters over and over. i only used the sail so i didn’t have to pay attention to venting the steam and played with my phone until i hit a wall and had to reload. the stupid shit i do for achievements sometimes..
anyway, for the speedrun don’t bother stopping for every bit of fuel you find because that’s the real time waster. i stopped for everything on my first run and had sooo much leftover crap that i was basically just hoarding. stick to grabbing the red barrels (the good ones, not the explosives) and ignore smaller things like boxes and junk unless there’s a group of them or you’re low on fuel. raise the sail every chance you get. once you get the vacuum module you should ideally only be stopping at the required areas along the way. knowing how to get through those quickly saves a ton of time as well. i did my second playthrough about an hour after the first, so everything was still fresh in my memory and i got through them relatively quickly. hopefully that helps.
i really enjoyed the game overall. the sequel is on game pass so i wanna get around to playing that soon.

so everybody’s gone to the rapture.. was fine. i’d give it something like a 6.5-7/10. i’ve played better walking sims, and definitely worse ones as well. i guess i was just expecting more out of it for some reason. i’ve been wanting to play it since i first heard of it on ps4, but i don’t own one. i finally saw a good price for it (i think i paid ~$5) and jumped on it. i definitely don’t regret it, but it’s no what remains of edith finch. if you enjoy walking simulators then you’ll most likely enjoy everybody’s gone to the rapture, just don’t pay too much for it. heads up, it’s currently a little over $4 in key shops if you’re comfortable buying from them.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, maybe I’ll give the speedrun another try someday…I still have the script I made for it.
I have Edith Finch in my backlog, so that’s something to look forward to. I’ll pick up Rapture if it ever gets bundled I guess.

Was going to ask if the new LEGO Star Wars game is worth picking up, but I guess I can already tell the answer by looking at your playtime. :)

oh absolutely. i love that they didn’t just mash all the previous games together and instead made it all new with voice acting and different character skills/mechanics. full disclosure - i have a bad habit of forgetting about minimized games so i don’t have a whole 135 hours of gametime, though it isn’t very far off. all nine episodes with six missions each, plus something like twenty planets (just taking a guess, i can’t remember exactly) full of their own side quests, races, collectibles, and space battles… it’s a lot. if you’re into the lego games, there’s a whole lot of it in skywalker saga.

Bought it during the summer sale, a bit disappointed with it so far… Mainly because the FOV in co-op is pretty bad. :I
