Update 8
You hate to see me coming with the horrible colour combinations in my posts, but yk what I embrace that as my signature now. Anyway this update is a bit more of a clean up one, since there’s some games that I just can’t bring myself to play more of and should finally review. Also please excuse the mess of panels and bars, I used to use them to differentiate between Steam games and other platforms, but I feel like I’ll move to just using panels in the future?
Games beaten:
This was quite good, but the combat system just didn't seem to click for me, so this is the first game that I've ever had to turn down to the easy difficulty. I think that even though it's no longer turn based, the strategic element is still preserved, which might be why I struggled a bit on normal. I'm not really one for switching materia mid fight to exploit the boss' weaknesses and stuff like that. I also returned to it after like a year of not playing it and found out that normal was getting too difficult, I'm glad I went back to finish it though.
Something that I absolutely loved about this game were the characters, especially the main 4. I also really enjoyed the Wall Market area.
I then went on to play the dlc intermission, and the story there was very interesting, with an insanely cool final boss fight. Yuffie's combat style was quite fun to use too.
Games abandoned:
It pains me to be abandoning this game, because the world is absolutely beautiful. Traversal is great as well, be it on foot, on an ikran, or a direhorse. Genuinely I would love to spend more time in the world, but the quests just aren't good. This game makes you go to RDA base after RDA base, doing the same stuff over and over. If you like Far Cry, you'll probably like this too, but that sort of gameplay just isn't fun for me. Especially with all its flaws and frustrations, such as when you try and be stealthy, but firing a single arrow will somehow make the whole camp aggro and know exactly where you are. I also had the game crash on me after very successfully destroying a base first try, just for me to then have to struggle redoing it.
I could see myself finishing the game if I had someone to play it coop with, but as it is rn, I can't make myself go through another annoying RDA base mission. But damn, would this have been the perfect game if the combat was just a bit better.
(don't remember the number of achievements I got so leaving it blank lol)
Probably as good as sports games get. This was fun, but also got very difficult to hit longer combos. I couldn't beat the last competition of thps3, other than that I beat the rest of the stuff in the 3rd game. I played a bit of the 4th game, but not as much. I enjoyed some of the funny challenges that were present in every level, and I had the most fun with grinding rails. Going online was an eye opening experience, people can really pull of some insane combos. All in all, while this is a very well made game, it's not exactly for me.
Sure, this game is cute and cozy, but it's not particularly interesting either. It seems to be a bit longer than it needs to be, last time I played the number of story related clients that I was getting was really low, since I completed quite of few of their stories already. I don't feel the need to go back and finish the remaining few, especially since at this point it's gotten repetitive enough.

Congratz for FF7 remake intergrade, didn’t like much what they did with the story, but share your feeling on intergrade !

oh is that because they changed it from the original or something? Never played the og so not sure what the story there was, but with the perspective of this being my first final fantasy experience, I thought it was good.
Going half-ATB, half-action approach with the Remake was certainly a choice. I’m still glad Classic combat option was included.
I mean it’s an interesting system, nothing like most other games really. It’s good that there’s two ways to play to adapt to different playstyles
