April-July 2025
Another long break, and I’ve not been gaming much. Consequently, this is a very brief update.
I’m also unsure whether to count a couple of these as ‘beaten’ or not. I don’t think I am Future or Everafter Falls are officially finished yet. I reached the end of the main story of both of them (I think!), but there’s nothing to really show that. I guess there will be updates and more achievements added at a later date. I’m marking them as beaten for now though.
I picked up a couple of months subscription to Ubisoft Plus and beat Far Cry 5

I am Future
Not what I expected really. I mean, I didn't know much about the game, so not a big deal.
Kind of casual, but a bit grindy. The main story was a bit disappointing - collect, craft, repeat. I didn't really feel motivated to push on beyond the main goals. There are lot of achievements remaining. Bit of a non-review, even by my standards, but I genuinely don't think there's much more to the game than that.Snowtopia
I had this key lying around and activated it, thinking it was something else. I was mixed up with Grand Mountain Adventure, so I expected a casual skiing game. Instead, I got a buggy ski management game. Dull, but I completed it. Not recommended.
Everafter Falls
Finally, a game I enjoyed. Very much like Stardew Valley, and the game developers acknowledge this very early on. You fish, mine, farm, and build machines. However, you don't need to remember birthdays, there's no romance storyline, and you can create drones to help you - all positives in my view. Very easy to get into, I could dip into it for short periods of gameplay on the train, and it didn't get boring. As I wrote int eh intro, I don't think it's finished and I'll probably come back to it, but I'm marking it as beaten for now.
Ubisoft
Far Cry 5
The first time I’ve played a Far Cry game. Well, I played a bit of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, but that’s pretty different and I didn’t get very far. I chose one that was available on Ubisoft Plus and I don’t have already (I seem to have bought a couple and forgot about them!). Aside from the constant cut scenes and inescapable captures in this particular game, I liked it. I’ll probably try another one.
Backlog Additions
I won Chicory: A Colorful Tale on SG, and added a few other games - Gravity Circuit, Killer Frequency, Toaster Jam, Snowtopia (completed).

Congratulations! And thanks for the “I Am Future” review. It was on my wishlist after playing the demo. I kind of enjoyed the vibes and progress, but feared that it would quickly become boringly repetitive and grindy. Fears confirmed by your impressions, so I’ll scratch it off.
Ah snowtopia, i had confused it with When ski lifts go wrong, funny that you confused it too with another game ! :D
Congratz for your month, i think a game is beaten when you consider it beaten, and definitively yes here as you know you’ve finished main story !
