Been a while but that’s how it goes for me. I tend to not feel like writing about or review my games I play. This one though deserved the post.

This game was awesome. It was given to me as a Christmas gift and I enjoyed every minute of it. Very challenging and will make you mad but very rewarding when you get the next checkpoint. I finished it today and actually wrote a review about it here.
I highly recommend the game. It’s a must play in my opinion.

I’m confused. At launch people hated it and after the reworked version it’s a must play? That sounds so unreal, but it definitely revived my interest in the game.
I remember hearing stuff about it having problems but I didn’t play it then so not sure how bad it really was.
Game ran smooth for me. Whatever they did they did well because I didn’t notice any issues.
It wasn’t really about technical issues as far as I remember, but more about gameplay and mechanics. I was anticipating the game myself, because great pixel art always catches my eye. Decided to watch some gameplay videos and reviews back then aaaaaaaaand everybody hated it :D
I totally agree! Slain is a fantastic game with a brutal metal soundtrack! I’ve only played a little bit as I’m pretty terrible at it but I wish I was better so I could fully enjoy it.
Really just takes some practice. Get that block timing down and it makes things a lot easier.
