Third game beaten in november :)
This one doesn’t fit the monthly theme but it’s still another sg win beaten!

I was expecting something different from this game :\
If you ever played some facebook game like the Tribez (there are several others.. played one for a lot of hours but I can’t remember the name.. this is the last I played) you know what genre I was expecting.

Turns out it’s more time centered than management ones I’m used to.
Played all levels but I didn’t like as I wanted to. It’s not a bad game, it can be highly addictive (I did beat it quickly in the end) but that time constraint really puts me off, such a pity :\

Missing 2 achievements:
obviously one for beating 10x devs time (I’m 3/10 and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to beat 7 more. Even if I could, I have no intention of spending who-knows-how-many-hours to do it) and one for unlocking all the other achievements (so, basically, I’m missing only one and the other comes as free) =P
Glad I won and played it but don’t think I’ll play any other title of this serie.

About the theme:
I’ve also started Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf HD Remastered (I’m about 60-70% of the story, don’t think I’ll beat it in time) and The 39 Steps (30% but it’s shorter so there’s still hope).
Problem is, I’ve also started Stardew Valley =P That game is overwhelming! °O°

On a more realistic note:
Decided to move some games to the Won't play section as the probability of me playing those are close to 0. They are all games given for free here and there which I grabbed for cards only anyway, no big loss =P
Also, I can always move them back if I were to change my mind =P

Starlynk

If I remember correctly you can beat the devs time 10 times on the same level, which does make it a bit easier if you want to go for 100% after all ;-)

How do you like Lone Wolf so far?

malabagaa

Ooh, this could make it simpler.. I’ll give it a try, thanks! ^_^

I’m telling you in advance, read all the books I could when I was a kid and had this game in the first position of my wishlist until I got it, hence my review when I’ll complete it could be a bit biased by the fact that I love Lone Wolf =P
Apart from that, I still think it’s a good game!
There’s a lot to read as in every game of this genre but here you also do the fights.
Story is good so far and I can see why some say that battles get repetitive after a while.. I’m still trying attack combinations and I think I haven’t met all the eniemes yet. Also, excluding random encounters, fights aren’t easy even if I’ve recently mastered my primary weapon. Yup, I’m dying less compared to first fights butI still need some planning to win and this prevents me to find battles boring :)
I fear the day I’ll choose to play the game on hard difficulty as the battles will lose that bit of “turn-based” they have to turn fully real-time D:

Starlynk

Cool! :-) I think it’s a pretty good game as well! Finished 2 playthroughs (one normal, one easy) and am now attempting hard! Thankfully the battles are not fully real-time.. turn timer keeps running but slows down a little bit when you open a menu.. I’m in act 2 and keeping my fingers crossed for the final fight there cause that was my hardest fight on normal..

malabagaa

:O Good luck!
Isn’t there a new game+?
It wouldn’t be bad to start with better gear.. just to progress faster :)

Starlynk

Nope, no new game+.. you have to start a new game, so gotta collect and upgrade your gear again ;-)

malabagaa

Oh, that’a a pity.. but given it’s supposed to be a book it’s kind of right the way it is =P
