The HUUGE game for my “one big game a month” challenge. It’s a Pokemon-like game, you are catching and rising monsters, and fighting in JRPG style battles. I have a mixed feelings about it. It has one absolutly genius mechanic, and the rest is mediocre. I absolutely love the way you are rising, and leveling Digimons - there is a lot of stages of every creature, every digimon can evolve to a number of others, its just a huge fun to try and discover all of the species and this was my main fun with this game. The battles were fun, the fact that you have three creatures fighting at the same time let you to discover some fun strategies. The rest… the game is incredibly easy (really, I think I lost two or three battles during the whole game, except the tournament, which was a bit challenging and completely optional. And yes, I was playing on “normal”), it’s extremely linear, there is few things to do beside main story (there are optional missions, but you are given one or two and then back to main quest). The story is so-so, I didn’t feel very engaged, the parts of UI are awful, especcially Digimon wikipedia which is listing all creatures you found (I had to jump back and forth between it and menu for evolve my digimon, because I couldnt easily check, what is evolving into what). I had about 100 creatures, and I had to check everyone of them to get to know if any is ready to evolve. So yeah… mixed feelings. I still I’m glad I finished this game, but I really wish they made a bit more open world and work on UI….

It’s a weird mix between HOPA and classic adventure game. but I really liked it. Especcially the art style, which is very crazy Alice in Wonderland style. The story is simple, everything can be beaten in a couple of hours, but it’s evolving HOPA into interesting regions.

Quite interesting platformer game, in which your character cannot jump, but you are controlling a wind, so you can “blow” him into the air. Very similar to the first one, with a couple of added mechanics, and I’m not really sure if it is easy to play it without it’s first part. I had a feeling, that the tutorials were very vague. All in all - OK game, but nothing great.

A classic walking sim, with a few easy riddles. You crashed the plane on an island near Iceland, you are trying to find your wife, who also survived but is trapped somewhere, and you are also dealing with your past demons. It’s just a nice walk for two hours, not very original, but solid example of the genre.
