This is a very strange game. It’s very budget, very derivative, and most of its mechanics are individually quite flawed, awkward, and annoying. In its first hour, when you’re being taught all these mechanics, Cronos is literally the most boring game in the world; I practically fell asleep while playing. But it is precisely when combined with each other that all these flawed mechanics suddenly begin to work like a well-coordinated mechanism, and the game becomes interesting and exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I even liked it more than their remake of SILENT HILL 2; at least it never felt drawn out.

Overall, I’ve noticed that reviews of this game are strictly polarized: either “derivative, but awesome” or “Jesus Christ, what a piece of shit”, so it’s hard to say for sure whether you’ll like it or not. But the first hour is definitely terrible, yeah.
