Main Quest #67 - 03 September 2019
Well, this was a nostalgia trip. I mostly remember the first island but not much of the second/third. There were a bunch of missions that were a lot harder than I was expecting to and had to replay a bunch of times, which got very annoying very fast. The AI and overall gameplay is definitely dated (and it shows, I felt pretty lost at the beginning of the game without a map but got used to it later) and let’s not talk about the police (holy shit the police in this game!). But in the end I still had fun with it :)
Did it run well on modern hardware, any hiccups? I’m also now curious about the police :D (I never played III back in the day)
I followed the pcgamingwiki and installed the Widescreen fix and the Silent Patch, and after that it run perfectly, no crashes (although locked at 30 fps).
There were times that I was so overwhelmed/stranded that I simply couldn’t move with how much police there was chasing me.
