May/June 2018 Update

Finished: Saints Row 3 and 4.
I got bored with Saints Row 3 pretty quickly, but it’s mostly because these types of games can be hit or miss for me, and that’s why it took I believe 3 years to beat! I really hate not being able to fast travel after I’ve seen most of the world already, and I prefer games with a strong focus on narrative. Saints Row 4, on the other hand, was much more fun. The super powers definitely added a lot to the game (for me) and I always appreciate being able to travel to where I need to be super quickly. And my god do I ever hate the Insurance Fraud activities.

Playing Next: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (27 hours in and absolutely loving it! Happy to return to the series once again.)

Ah, that’s interesting: I preferred ‘SR3’ :) I still agree on the fast travel though, it really gets on my nerves, when there isn’t one implemented in the game.

Why did you prefer SR3? I personally found everything about SR4 to be an improvement over the previous one, although it was a little disappointing that we didn’t get a new map.

I laughed more with SR3 than with SR4 (maybe just because it was the first SR game I played and it was new to me). And while I liked the superpowers at first, over time I got a bit bored by them. SR4 was a bit too much, if you know what I mean. SR3 was a bit more down-to-earth, which is something I personally like.

I think both are quite personal reasons to prefer one over the other and I can understand, why you prefer it the other way around. SR4 is a great game and very fun to play :)

Indeed. Well said :).
