Touched this one years ago and bounced off, but it sat in my hard drive. In february I tried it again and it certainly wasn't as hard as I remembered. I watched some other people flying through the levels to get some help on the speedruns and it actually turned out to be pretty well put together. The motion becomes very fluid once you get the hang of it and you can move very smoothly through the levels in no time. Probably best with a controller though, as I can't imagine doing some of those jumps without the help of analogue sticks for speed control. Played this a while back and appreciated the concept. If I recall it was made for a game jam with the theme of one room only, or something like that, and I think it was a well executed concept. At first seeming very mundane and rapidly expanding as you experiment. I don't think anyone got all the endings by themselves, so yes, I used a walkthrough at the end, and it was especially helpful for the no wrong buttons pressed achievement. A nice little puzzle game, that got a bit boring after a while, but being as I was half way there, I picked it up again and used some helpful walkthrough videos to wrap it up. It seems like they had planned to add more levels but ran out of steam eventually? Either way, it's still a decent set of puzzles for those that enjoy these kind of games. This game has one of those annoying 'play once a week' achievements. And after a few false starts over the years, I eventually just sat and changed my computer's clock 13 times to get the achievement to register. With that annoyance out of the way, the remaining achievements were just a short grind away. Overall a decent enough tower defense game with a nice twist, (literally) that lets you spin the pathways to adapt to where the enemies are coming from and therefore create new strategies on the fly. And also, screw those sheep! Unlike the other enemies, you need to let these guys get to the end point, and killing them drops a heart, so you'll be in the middle of building an epic defense and suddenly one of these guys appears and you need to scramble to keep them alive, usually by selling off some of your key defences. Ahhhh yes, this is a good game. It was one of the first games I started playing on steam and had one fairly long campaign almost done, but got frustrated at the end when the last faction wouldn't give up, and by that point I'd got other games an moved on. I think the news about bannerlod finally going to a closed beta some time reminded me I still had 50% of the achievements to get, so I started a new campaign as a women, help a pretender get her throne back and finally went back to my old saved game from years ago to get the achievement for helping my faction take over. I know the game is quite old now, but I love the depth of role play that there is here. The game never tells you that you need to do anything, and with no forced end point in sight, you feel like you can do what you want. The combat is also great for its time. Looking forward to playing bannerlord whenever it launches. (Although at this rate I might be dead before it arrives) Yes, got to pump those numbers up with a 'filthy casual' or two. The formula is pretty tired after 3 games, but I guess it's not offensive, and I can play with a baby in one arm, so there's always that. Picked this one up in the sale last year because it was cheap and seemed like a fun little action RPG in the vein of the old zelda games. And yeah, it is pretty much. Nothing groundbreaking, but fun to play through.
