Can’t believe you beat the best game ever… I have yet to finish it… because it’s just too good. And definitely not bad….
I liked the original Alan Wake quite a bit, but it felt a bit awkward at times and I usually felt like I was doing terribly, but still made it to the end. I haven’t even tried American Nightmare yet though. Also, Containment was surprisingly decent… it’s not a great game by any stretch, but… it didn’t annoy me, and it didn’t annoy me in a good way.
I’m glad I waited so long before playing Bad Rats - at least it seemed like a decent game compared to the rest of the stuff on the Steam store now…
I liked the original Alan Wake too, but American Nightmare wasn’t that great tbh. The problem I have now, though, is that I don’t know if the spin off is really that much worse or if it’s just my taste in games that has changed so much since playing the first game.
I know, right? Honestly, I never thought the game was terrible (although the janky physics are certainly a detractor for a puzzle game), but these days… it’s so much more of a legit game than a lot of the stuff on Steam – absofriggiflappinlutely ridiculous!
I’m gonna give your past-self the benefit of the doubt and consider that it might’ve thought American Nightmare wasn’t quite as good as the main story either. (…Also, this makes it easier for me to still keep it a distance from the front of the backlog… :D)
