December is nearly over, so a new post with all the games I’ve beaten or completed in the last month:

  • The Walking Dead
  • The Walking Dead : 400 Days
  • 12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull

Game is a solid Ego-Shooter though I was anoyed by some of the bugs I encountered, like the audio bug, where the audio gets so distored that you cannot hear anything anymore. And I also ran into a bug where in the second to last mission I couldn't trigger the shot from the space station. Had to reload the game to fix it. If you can live with that then the game is ok. Have not tried the multiplayer though.

Liked the game a lot. The story is quiet gripping and you feel with the characters. One thing I could not quiet get into were the quick time events. I never liked them in the past and could not really get behind them for this game.

Another thing that sometimes made me scream at my laptop were the dumb decisions made by the main character, like going out without a weapon in a world full of walkers or taking a small kid with him into an unknown location that could be teeming with walkers. That's just stupid and after several months living in this reality they should not make the same stupid mistakes over and over again. It reminded me a bit of the stupid blond chick in horror movies. But as I said overall I really liked the story. It felt like being immersed in the universe.

Some short 5 chapters, each too short to really get into the story. I think it would have been better to just follow 1 instead of 5 stories and flesh this one out. It felt kind of like someone threw just some unfinished storyboards into the ring as a DLC. I would definitly not buy this for full prize. Otherwise it's a nice addition to a great game

Second installment of the 12 Labours of Hercules series. Gameplay is switched up a bit in comparison to the first one. Some new things like the thief who will steal your resources if you do not collect them fast enough. Or the “monsters”, e.g. Hera who will scare your workers. As promised I finished it. Another new thing are the puzzles, though I'm not sure what that is about since I never found all the puzzle pieces of one level.

I actually like to play hidden object games from time to time, but this one was not really fun. The description of the objects to search were not really good, too ambigous most of the time, meaning that you can not find anything that you do not know what to look for. Also it was a lot of running around and it was not always clear where to go next, so it was a lot of running though the house and trying to find the next hidden object game.

A game that I have not yet beaten, because it is not really easy is Ravva and the Cyclops Curse. I like it a lot because it reminds me of the games of my childhood that I played on NES.

This game reminds me a lot of the old NES games I played in my youth. It is just as hard as some of them. It's a nice platformer though I strongly recommend using a gamepad for playing.

Right now I’m playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition though I will most likely not finish the game before end of the month. I really like it, but it’s a long one. I’ll finish it then in January.
