August report

Holidays far from my computer ! (and it's great)

How was your month ? For me it was really good as I spent half of August in holidays with my family, close to the sea, with a good weather, it's was really relaxing. No computer, but I did spent some time gaming on my phone, mainly Crashlands and some DS games.

I came back on the 19th, and continued some games I started in July: Sniper Elite V2 and Warframe (which I dropped since, too repetitive for me).

As always after holidays, I need to start new games, so I tried Sleeping Dogs, and really enjoy it, and bought Stalker SOC as I read about some people finishing it and saying how it's an incredible game. I didn't played it a lot but it's really good from what I've seen.

Sleeping Dogs is really great too, and I got (gifted) Yakuza 0 as I had some people saying is even better. I also started (well, rather restarted) Risen 2 but didn't played it a lot as I focus on ending Sleeping Dogs and Sniper Elite V2.

I didn't finished any game this month but I managed not to add to many games to my backlog.

Sleeping Dogs and Yakuza 0 are very good games, each in their category.
SD is a more classic open-world, not very innovative except the “finish him” moves and the Hong Kong setting (the best part of the game to me, really a nice break to the usual Western cities) while Y0 is more of a genre by itself : I’ve never played something approching this mix, between mainly BTA and a frenzy of mini-games, in very detailed Japanese environments, with a crafty scenario and perfect Japanese dubbing.
