I’ve been meaning to sort through my games on here for a while, but I get so overwhelmed every time I start and kinda just give up. But this month’s theme motivated me to pick up Knights of the Old Republic again - I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish it this month, but at least I’m determined to make progress.

While trying to work my way through other games from March till April, I got sidetracked and somehow fell down the rabbit hole that is Warframe and it’s been a huge timesucker. But at least it kind of fits the space theme, I guess? /o\
(Speaking of space, next month will be all about No Man’s Sky, I’m even taking 2 weeks off just for the release!)

Thyreos

Oh I’ve had Warframe on my I-need-to-try-this list for a long time, but I’m afraid of the rabbit hole. The last time I walked into an MMO I didn’t come back for nearly ten years.

Warframe is deadly if you end up liking it but it’s very hit and miss with people. On the other hand… the devs are fantastic, all non-cosmetics free, seasonal events, weekend specials, ways to get limited edition cosmetics without real $$$…. it’s hard to say no. o

Thyreos

If I didn’t have this backlog… and family in town … and final exams … and a new puppy … (I still almost clicked install)

Definitely be afraid of the rabbit hole. I am not generally very into MMOs - I’ve had fun with a few, but around the 50 hour mark I usually get bored. That’s what I expected to happen with Warframe too, but I am now 100 hours into it and still excited to play it, so that’s really new for me. I can see myself enjoying it for a long time. But sometimes I wish I hadn’t clicked that install button and done some more meaningful things with my life instead. :P

Warframe is definitely spacey but how do you measure it as complete? :3

Will you take some screenies of No Man’s Sky? It looks gorgeous. :O

I’ve been wondering about that, and I think I’ll just try to make progress on the starmap and try to unlock all the planets and nodes. And I haven’t finished all of the story quests yet, either, so that’s something to aim for :) But I don’t want it to become my “main” game and still want to give priority to games I’ve bought and won. That’s gonna be a challenge this month.

I plan to take a million screenshots of NMS, documenting every planet and every single space dinosaur I encounter. :O It is such a pretty game. I hope there will be something like a screenshot mode where you can move the camera freely.

Ghostie

Well geez, nearly 600 hours in and I still haven’t unlocked all the nodes. @_@

Ooh, I eagerly await. Devs really need to include free camera modes in their games but given that it’s suppose to be multiplayer they probably won’t. At the very least 1st person mode with hands hidden maybe…
