A Juggler's Tale

Platformer, in which you are a puppet on strings, which enabled for some nice puzzles, cause you basically cannot go under anything. One of those games in which story and atmosphere is more important than pure gameplay. It was fun although quite short.

“Look mum, I made a game” genre. Very junky 3D walking sim, in which you are an alien on a desert planet and you are moving mostly by skating on hoverboard. I feel it wants to be Journey very, very much, but it feels that it is done by one person, because everything is a bit off. I had some fun with it, and games done by one person are always impressive, but I don’t feel it is worth the price.

This one on the other hand is extremely junky too, but it has something in it that glued me to the screen. You are living in a world, where there are giant monsters, but they are living peacefully with people and are treated as rare animals. Your job is to prevent collisions between humans and monsters - mostly by steering creatures away from towns. There are four missions, and four monsters. Everything is happening during a night, on those gloomy, dark meadows - it is ugly as heck, but it has atmosphere, and I think this atmosphere is what was the main reason for me to play. The “riddles” for every monster are so easy, that you can say it is almost a walking sim, but it has a charm and I am glad I finished it.

A riddle game. You are trapped in painting and you need to get out, and to do so, you need to solve a series of environmental riddles. Most of them are some kind of labirynths, in which you need to pull levers to open and close gates. It is this kind of game which is completely bonkers with its visuals and you never know what to expect of next scene - which is a genre I really like. The additional difficulty is that you need to finish the whole game during a specific time frame. Well - I turned this off imidiately - sorry, I like to take my riddles games in my pace. My main problem with this game - some riddles are just too complicated - there is especcially one in which there is a town with gates and bridges, levers which can open some roads, but simultaniously are closing others, and on the top of that you can go back and forth in time, so you have two towns with different layouts. I managed to go through it but it just wasn’t pleasant.
