Backlog Assassination : March 2021

You know what ? I completely forgot to make my goal post last month (I’m not even surprised, not only I skipped a week before making my monthly but I kept feeling like shit and slept the month away), but I did have some goals thanks to PGWS and the other challenges I participate to. I don’t know for you, but winter is vanishing pretty quickly here and I’m enjoying for the first time in over a decade to have an apartment lit entirely by the sunlight. I see myself spending more and more time playing Steam game on my phone as well, VN are particularly cool to play there before bed or sitting outside to enjoy the sun.

ANYWAY

How is it on your side, is the sun back if you’re in the North hemisphere ? Or is it slowly fading away if you’re in the south hemisphere ? Did you give a try to Steam Link on your phone or your tablet ?

  • Heroes of Hellas Origins: Part One : The gameplay is so addictive that I went up to finish it twice, once in normal mode and once in hard mode.. Then I bought the two other games of the series which are available on Steam. It looks like a classic match 3, but you’re not moving the orbs, instead you link them and if the line is long enough, it adds coins at the end of line which can be uses as any other color and this mechanic is something you have to use often as the game becomes more complex. You also enlist the help of some gods which aren’t always helpful, but can save the day once in a while.
  • DIVINATION : This game is really short if you’re only looking for the 100% Chaos ending (as it’s available right away on the flowchart). Each divination order gives different results which is really interesting as the 100% Chaos ending is only a portion of what can happen in this game. This game reminded me a LOT of Chobits from the Clamp (the manga paper version) and how the robots don’t have any choice, not even the one of their death while they clearly are sentient. The paradox the game is causing is really interesting and while the game in itself can be really short if you just go for the Chaos ending (it should take 15mn), it gets deeper if you try to see all the results for each character and how it affects the life of the others.

It’s April and the cats are spending their time under the window light, my black cat fur is getting a little brown even.

Also, if you’re like me and like to have a small clicker running, you should give a try to Leaf Blower Revolution, it’s an interesting one, free with good mechanics. And I’m happy to not have a garden, cleaning it seems to be a pain in the a**.
