In spring of 2024 I started my pile of shame challenge for myself. I stopped buying games in general, and only got to buy one if i finished 5 others or finished one at 100%. Pretty much one year and a few days later, i finished my challenge! Since 2025 I'm trying my best to not end up with a bunch of unplayed games again. My goal was to never ever have more than 5 unplayed/unfinished games again.. but well. I'm just a lil gamer bean, u know?
So now I'm here, giving my best to not fall back into old habits of buying a bunch of games and never really playing them. Besides that I am a big fan of achievements and cozy games.

September 2026
September is finally here, and 'The Blood of Dawnwalker' is already preordered. I waited SO LONG for this game, so this month will mainly be taken over by it. But I do have some events/group activity going on, which I want to keep participating in. Really excited for this month, because alot of cool stuff is happening. I also want to take a look at 'Aniimo' which is a free to play Pokemon-like with Gatcha elements. I hope that part is beeing rather small, and won't take out all the fun the game has to offer.

Game of the Month
I honestly thought this game might get boring pretty quickly, but I was completely wrong. It’s an absolute blast to play, especially with the right group of friends.
One feature I really appreciated is how the game automatically adjusts the audio levels of the characters, making sure everyone can be heard at roughly the same volume. The puzzles can be kinda challenging at times, but there’s almost always someone who eventually figures out the solution. We played as a group of five, and it worked pretty well.
My friends were rather skeptical at first, but they’ve all become huge fans by now. We finished the game after around 11 hours, and despite having completed the game itself, we’re already planning to go back and get 100%.
Overall, I’d highly recommend it whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore gamer. It’s a great mix of fun, challenging puzzles, and some chill moments.
August 2026
I got a lot of games in August, mostly gifted or won. The only one I bought was 'The Big Walk', and I don't regret spending a single cent on it. It's such a cool and funny game, even though it's rather chill. But that way, you get to not only have a really nice puzzle game, but also enjoy some time with people you appreciate spending time with. My game of the month review is found here.

As mentioned above, I got a really good handfull of games this month. I hope I can tackle the unfinished ones, once I finished 'The Blood of Dawnwalker'.

Got to finish some games. I really planned on finishing 'Bloodlines 2' before the release of 'The Blood of Dawnwalker', but sadly it went downhill with this game for me. I don't get motion sickness anymore after the patches addressing that, but i just don't like the game. I'm so incredibly bored by it, even tho the first like 3-4h had me hooked. 10h in now, and I just don't have fun anymore.

August 2026
A pretty good month of getting stuff done is behind me. Hopefully august will be just as good! And maybe some more games can be added through giveaways. Really enjoying all the group stuff conntected to steamgifts so far! Oh, I even refunded a game i bought during sommer sale. An idle game, after I wrapped my mind around the fact, that they need SO MUCH TIME to get through 100%. And yet gameplay is really little. I want to spend my time with more fun games now. So for now, no more idle games.
New to library
As part of a group event, I got a key for 'Neo Cab' and got 'Drop Duchy' and 'Steam World Dig' gifted. Besides that, I only got 'Windswept' myself, even tho I was really close on buying 'Moonlight Peaks'. Because I'm a sucker for anything vampire related.

I got alot of the games done, that I wanted to get 100% on! One of them beeing 'Chillquarium', which was so grindy and teadious, it got me to dislike idle games. And 'Disney Dreamlight Valley', which has an achievement that forces you to log in almost daily for a year. I finally managed to get that done!
Among some others I also finished 'Neo Cab' with 100% for a group event I participated in!

ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ As the translator of this game, I may be biased with this one, but that does not change the fact, that every one I know loves this game dearly.
It is a "Wimmelbild"-game as we call it in German. You may be more familiar with it as a "Where is Waldo"-like. It's from a little indie studio in thailand, and they seem to be alot of cool people. You can tell by all the gaming, anime, pop culture easter eggs in this little gem. If you like these kind of "search"-games, give it a try, trust me!
Big bonus for me: the audio of this game is peak, i could listen to the soundtrack on repeat for days.

Summersale my friends. What can I say? Besides my luck this month on steamgifts, I got 6 games because of sommer sale. Do I regret it? No! Do I have lot's of unplayed games now.. yes. Will I fix this? OF 🦆-ING COURSE.

I finished Hellclock (SG win) and Chicken Invaders 1 and got 100% on Nordic Ashes and Witchy Business just as planned last month. "Little Problems" (SG win) was a little gem I got and went full on 100%! Loved it!

ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ I love this game to (bullet-)heaven and back!
Since a new DLC came out that brought in new achievements, I lost my 100% on it. As this is one of my most played games, and for sure my most played on my Steamdeck, it was a nobrainer to get the DLC and start playing it again.
If you do like bullet-hell/-heaven games: feel free to check it out! Bonus if you like the nordic theme.

DDV is sitting in my steamlib with one missing achievement for way to long. I need to fix this,
yet I'm quiet sure it will take a bit of July as well. With chillquarium I'm quiet happy so far.
But I hope i can get most achievements done within June.
