Woo! Got lots of games done this month due to me not wanting to study on midterm test. xD Played 4 short SG wins on Wednesday and 1 today for “play a game you won” event. Don’t plan on playing anything new for the last 2 days since OW event ends on Monday so gonna try to grind some chests. Have a family lunch tomorrow and an assignment that needs done before Tuesday sooooo less time to play. :P

Yes, another clicker game. xD Well, not the traditional one. In this game, you have a side scrollable farm that you need to grow and take care of. You have helpers that harvest and pickup crops for you. Ofc you can also click them to drop and harvest them yourself. There'll also be animals that'll try to steal your crops or scare your animals and you can click them to hit them away or hire dogs to help you. It doesn't have that much content and depth that other clicker games have, but it's still neatly done in a way that makes you feel relaxing playing it.

If I have to say one thing that I don't like is that my auto-clicker doesn't seem to work in it. :P Yeah I know~You cheater using auto-clicker! xD But well, it's a big factor when I'm playing clicker games since one, I don't want to break my mouse and two, my right wrists seems to have some problem cuz of too much mouse usage so I don't want to potentially cause any more damage by clicking too much, yet I still like to play clicker games. It may just be that I didn't use the right auto-clicker tho, but well, it's a nitpicky thing I'm gonna point out cuz I quite enjoyed the game. Although the lack of depth really makes me unable to rate it too high.

Well, it's a point and click game. I think I've come to the conclusion that I really don't like point and click games all that much. They are just too slow and the puzzles are usually too hard for my little brain to handle. lol

For this one, it's especially worse than the last one I played(Lumino City). It's typical point and click game where you have to collect/combine stuff and then use them on various things to progress the story. That's the problem right there. Some items I would think it would work logically, but then the game just slaps several big nopes on my face, especially with the main character being annoying as hell. Like, there would be a thing up high, so naturally I would wonder if I could use my long stick/hook thingy to reach it but then the main characters tells me I'm just guessing randomly, which I'm not.
And then the correct answer would be to do this obscure thing with another thing or combine these two stuff and interact with another thing and then de-combine them. How the hell am I going to figure it out without a guide? That's why I used a guide for this playthough. And since I would want to 100% it but I don't really want to play it all again due to not liking it, that's also a reason to use the guide.

Another thing is, the game breaks on me several times. I would click somewhere to move to, so my character will move there, but then I couldn't do anything with anything anymore. Seems like it's either the character moving to an invalid place or the game didn't recognize the end of movement, and you can't save in that state which means I'll be forced to quit to main menu and reload. That wouldn't be too big of a problem normally cuz the game has abundance auto-space spots but it just so happens at the street level I got stuck, and when I reload I had to do the entire tutorial/starting area again. Super annoying since one, tutorials are always super slow and you can skip a small part, but most part you can't skip and two, Robert's starting lines(ya know the "I'll catch it" those 3 lines) are infuriating for me to hear.

That's another part about the game, which is the part that I like the most about the game, is the voice acting. It's really really good. I'll even consider Robert's voice acting good cuz it successfully made me annoyed at him every time he speaks(at least at the start). I liked Laura's voice, I absolutely adore the Tailor's voice and how he speaks, and my favorite character is Gorfelina. She's just so sassy and when she jumps over to the other rock she's so adorable! xD

Now the next good thing about the game is its characters. Almost all of the characters have their own personality, and it fits well with their visual representation and their voices. That's why in the end although the gameplay sucks, I found myself to like a lot of the characters. Good character also gives out good humor. The humor in this game gave me quite a bit of giggles. I liked them a lot. Let's break down several characters shall we?

Robert: The main protagonist of the game. Insufferable at start with his idiocy and his voice perfectly reflects that. As time went on and he discovered more of the truth, he started to change and know better. He's still unbelievably stupid, but he's now stupid in a silly way. The way that won't infuriate me, only makes me face palm a bit and then proceed to help him. He's essentially growing up as he get to know about more things in the world, so I suppose he was annoying cuz of how he was raised. That's good character development. :3
Laura: The only other playable character. I really liked her dry/sarcastic humor with everything she sees. And she's the "strong independent female character" which I like. :P Although at the end where she said she likes Robert kinda makes me angry at the game cuz, it seems very abrupt and forced and I would prefer if she's more tsundere and is just being all embarrassed and says thanks, we can be friends and stuff, cuz she was really shitty to Robert at start so I think that'll fit her character development more instead of the corny ending.
Garbage dealer: Small character, but I liked his voice, and his dialogues are really funny. Also the voice and how he says it all fits his character really well. Like I said, good voice acting.
Ottilie(barmaid): Love her humor. Love her charisma. Just the typical bartender that has seen a lot of stuff, and is just laid back about her life.
Gorfelina: Omg she's amazing. The sassiness is over the board but it's cute in its own way. And when she got all flirty with Robert I'm like, she's adorable. xD She's the best!

As for the story, it's meh. Typical there's a bad guy that wants to kill everybody and main character has to defeat it deal. And I have to say if the bad guy's weapon actually worked, Robert would've died easily. I have no idea why it didn't work, and that part makes me think the game is stupid. However, when Laura find her dad, it was really heartwarming.

So yeah. My opinion about this game is really conflicted. On one hand, its gameplay is absolutely unenjoyable for me, on the other there's these really nice characters and voice acting and humor that as I wrote this review I found that I actually really like them.

Another point and click game, but it's purely in one room and you have to solve some puzzles, so it doesn't have the slow movement problem I have with point and click games.

It's a really short game with some quite easy puzzles(less than an hour for the main game). That's not to say I didn't enjoy them, I do. I suppose it's cuz it's easy so I enjoyed it, or else I would've been stuck and be very annoyed by it. The hardest one is the diamond switching puzzle one, thankfully a person in this post saved me from rage quitting the game cuz I was just 2 blocks away from completing it and would definitely be annoyed if I mess up my progress. :P
The music is quite nice, and the visuals are quite ok. But well, it's just kinda a "eh, it's quite alright but only just that" game.

It's a game for kids, so hmm......it's kinda really boring. lol I was forcing myself to push through it.
Now, let's talk about the bad. The game crashed 3 times on the plein air mini game. Two at the starting loading of it and one on the freaking last mini game out of 5, forcing me to play them all over again, which I did not enjoy at all. I ended up having to close the tabs playing music cuz some people said they have the crash when playing on a shitty laptop, which makes me suspect that because it's Chrome and also listenonrepeat it's eating up my laptop's resources. I suppose that is indeed correct since when I did that and restart the game it worked. I didn't expect a kids game to eat up all my resources and require that much. I guess I should've known since my laptop cooling fan is on the entire time when I was playing the game, but geez, a kids game! >.>

Another complaint is there's way too much backtracking, and what makes the backtracking even worse? The slow movement and transition. Keep in mind that I turned on always run, or it would be even more tedious but having to travel 5 scenes back for a thing and then 5 scene forward to get it done is annoying.

On to the last complaint, which is a minor one, is that the design of certain "puzzles" are illogical and hard to figure out. Oh, I need a container for the bear to put honey in? Not the glass bottle upstairs, nor the countless other vases on the shelf down in the basement, but this specific pot. Oh, I need to go find my uncle for a picture? No, my uncle is not at the original place that he's at, but rather at the house. Like, how am I suppose to know that if I didn't search up a walkthrough video?

So, I did not enjoy the game. It's boring and got quite some technical issues. But alas, I got it out of the way.

It's a short clicker game. Not much depth, not much content. It's just got these kinda witty yet a bit cheesy "stories" while you're clicking. It's actually kinda funny. Made me smile a few times. Also the different cosmetics on the Mayo bottle is just silly. :P However, the short grinding for 100% is not that fun, since my auto-clicker doesn't seem to work for it so I had to find another program that works.

Overall, a nice clicker game. Although its lack of content is pretty obvious and it could get boring in between the clicking.

Eh, this game, this game makes me uncomfortable. It's those typical VN where it's "anime girl show body likes main character for stupid reason". So you can kinda see why I didn't really like it that much. On top of it, the lines are really cheesy and kinda badly written and the voice acting is really bad. Characters falls flat on their faces(with the typical type like the childhood friend, the most beautiful and smart girl in the glasses as a class representation type of role, and the naughty girl). And don't even get me started on the story. It's illogical, it's stupid, sometimes the lines characters say doesn't even make sense and with things like when the two goddesses act weird and talk weird people just sorta gloss over it like it's no big deal.

Also, a huge reason why I don't like it is all these "men gotta be confident and toughen up" and the overall feeling of how the game places women just kinda insults me. Or maybe that's the feminist side of me coming out to protest. Rationally, I understand why there's these kinda stuff and I would be a hypocrite if I strongly hate on it cuz if you switch the gender(a female with 5 handsome guys) I would not be against it. I'll even kinda like it(I know I know, I'm a filthy human with lust and stuff). But just, since I'm a female, it all just makes me really uncomfortable.

I played and read every dialogue for the first few endings(Sakuya, Taka, and Ryn's) but they are all in non-adult version. After I turned the adult version on cuz I wanted to get the other endings for the achievement, I just can't really look at it straight. Ended up skimming through all of them cuz they're almost making me uncomfortable to a point like I wanted to puke. Especially the "A Very Very Good End" with the secret ending of 5 girls. I just, can't. It's too much for me. lol

Definitely an interesting experience for me. It's also my first ever VN, so hmm......maybe shouldn't have chosen this to be the first but I did. I know not all VN are like this so don't worry, but I do know that a lot are like this. Also, the format of VN just doesn't really appeal to me much. That's why I didn't play any VN games in the past. I would like to restate that I'm not a super feminist person and I'm also not saying that I want female supremacy. Just that, since I'm a female, these stuff makes me uncomfortable cuz I would naturally put myself in the girls' shoes, thus why I would like the opposite situation. It's all basic human lust and stuff, so I understand that. But I still didn't enjoy the game, so I'll give it a 2.5 for the art and effort value.

God dammit no one told me this game is a horror game! >:( I'm really bad with horror, that's why I try to avoid them as much as possible. ;-; It's got those jump scaredy moments and the atmospheric background music with it. And I gotta say, it's quite good at forming the creepy vibe on you. As you investigate more, more creepy things start appearing, especially those fucking gnomes! Garrrrr stop jump scaring me! >.> The story is quite engaging, as you can probably tell from my reaction now. The dialogues tell each person's characteristic well, and the voice acting is decent.

Now, a big part of this game is ofc the puzzles. You basically move from scene to scene and solve puzzles to progress. It's actually really enjoyable to solve them on my own, although some I'm indeed not that smart to do on my own but thus is how I am with these puzzle games. And it would be nice if the score won't be effected by hints used, since I'm deterred from using the hint system cuz of it. But most of the puzzles are quite fun and easy, with many varieties to them.

So, I actually like the game. It's fun to play, the story is well written and portrayed, and it has done it's fine job of creeping me out. Good job game. >~<

I found this game when watching this video. This is not a steam game, but it is a clicker game. :P This game is a short clicker game that can be done in a hour if you're clicking. It's almost entirely a clicker game with little idle aspects. The story is you're trying to conquer the universe. That's all. xD You start with 0.00000......01% in universe conquer meter, and you click to mine and then build ships to get to more planets and mine more and build more. And then you build factories to help you build more ships. What's cool is you can build factories that build factories that build factories......so on and so on. It's quite a nice little game I must say~However it did get a bit mind-numbing after half an hour, when you're not quite yet at the factory automation and you're far from the beginning where you're making progress with every click. I didn't play these kind of games for clicking(funny huh? ), I play them for the progression so it did get a bit boring. But thankfully it's not a long game~

I’ll probably try to join next month’s theme and challenge me(if there is one and I like the theme) cuz those sounds like fun! And ofc I won’t miss out on “play a game you won”. :3 See you next month~

Lucky Thirteen

Congrats on managing to play so many SG wins in such a short time, hehe! :) I’m curious about the next monthly theme as well btw, will participate if I own some of the suitable games :)
