I had started this game last month and I went and finished it, regardless of this month’s category.

  • KNIGHTS
    KNIGHTS

    15 hours playtime

    20 of 20 achievements

A simple concept, good puzzles and it ends before it gets boring. I won’t be playing more daily levels but I do recommend the game if you like logic puzzles.

You had me until it said “logic”
Logic puzzles tend to make me feel dumb :P.

Well the original idea behind the monthly themes was to give inspiration when you don’t know what to play … we wouldn’t want anyone to abandon games because of that. So … glad you didn’t :)

I had this game on my wishlist since it released, it looks neat!
Could you compare it to other games? It looks kinda similar to LYNE…

It has a very simple concept: Several chess knights of three colors on a board with a few free cells and even some blocked cells. Now, you have to put the red and blue knights in some cells of their corresponding colors. (The other knights are only the obstacles and can end up anywhere). Think of the Hanoi towers where you have to move stuff out of the way to get some pieces in special places but with more possibilities.

A nice set of incresingly bigger levels, and 75 extra daily levels.

Indeed it has an important similarity with LYNE: In some logic games (like Sudoku, Hexcells) you can or have to use logic every step of the way. In LYNE I combined logic with using my intuition and I was able to solve levels in two or three tries without a deep analysis. In KNIGHTS, you can start moving the knights on the board, you will realize a few things but you can finish a level by trying different stuff without a planned strategy. I did not found a level that stumped me more than a few minutes.

(I played this next to Crusaders of the Lost Idols and that’s why it has lots of hours)

I did not enjoyed it as much as LYNE as it gets more repetitive. Perhaps another color or two would have kept my attention longer and I would still want to play daily levels.
