Uff… Last two weeks were so crazy, that I didn’t even realize that the month was ending. BUT. The project I was working on is finally finished, it is getting ok reviews, so now I can relax a bit and even talk with my bosses about little vacation. I’ll do month summary in a couple of day, and now - too the games I was managed to finish.

I finally finish my go to game, when I want to watch something stupid and play something in background. Games in this series are definetely my favourite Tower Defence games, and this one is very good too, it had huuuge amount of content, hundreds of maps, and some interesting mechanics. It is also grindy as heck, because you need to level up your in game skills to have even a little chance in later levels. Or there is a possibility, that I’m simply bad at it :D

Remaster of old 3D platformer with all it’s pros and cons. I was fun, quite well done, but had three big problems. One - the game saves your progress only between levels. And the levels can be half an hour long, so if you started playing you are stuck if you don’t want to start it over again. Two - the main character can be irritating - he tried to be sarcasting, but in my opinion is not very good at it. And third - the last bossfight. I didn’t technically finish a game because of it - it is half a hour long (I checked on you tube), has multiple phases, and if you lost all your life you need to start from the beginning. I gave up after being killed 3 times after 15 minutes of fighting, and getting to do the same stuff over and over again.

Another older game - this one is a TPP fighting/platforming game, Devil May Cry style. You are travelling through a 100% linear fantasy world, you got in, and now you want to got out, fighting tone of enemies (I got achievement for slaying 1000 enemies and I wasn’t grinding it), mostly with your two swords, but also with guns, there is a lot of platforming a bit of puzzles, and as a twist you have a time reverse mechanic, which can be use both in fighting and puzzles. The game looks quite nice, especially for it’s age, the gameplay was ok, there were some irritating moments, but for the most of the time I had a good time, the story was a bit nonsensical, and to be honest after a while I stopped listening to it, mostly because some characters couldn’t decide if they will act as a steorytypical heroes, antiheroes or villains. All in all - it was allright. I liked it, but I never got to the point when I was loving it and in the end I was happy that it is over.

Congratz on finishing GemCraft! That’s a really long game. Hope your bosses give you some vacation and you have a less stressful August.
