I really enjoyed the games I’ve played through this month. Onto the next one!
An improvement over the first game when we talk about gameplay and exploration, but I do think that the introduction of the open-world made the game a bit too long for my taste. Although I DID enjoy exploring the planets and everything in them, at the 25-30 hour mark I just wanted the game to end. Nonetheless, I do still recommend this to everyone who liked Fallen Order, the story and characters continue to hit the mark (those were great!!!).
Thank Goodness You're Here was a short but very funny game! It does not overextend at all, the jokes are all hitters and the art style is very charming.
This was a bit of a surprise! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much, but it's probably my LiS favourite game after the original one even though it took me a bit to get in the mood/atmosphere and accustomed to the world and characters. The first and fourth chapters were great! I got attached to some characters and didn't want to part ways with them at the end of the game :')
I haven't played a COD in a while but this one was pretty good! It was a good reboot and it was nice to see Cpt. Price back again after all this time.

Ohhhh my picks are there! And Survivor!! Really solid lineup, congrats on your beaten games. Coincidentally someone picked Disco Elysium for me as my Very Long PoP game, the same way I did for you, and I played it last month. Gotta say, it’s awesome. Don’t sleep on it :)
Good luck on June’s assassinations!!
Yes, it was indeed a great month of gaming! I’m trying to play more games that I genuinely want and feel like playing, instead of games I should play for the heck of it. HOWEVER, I am and have been very curious about Disco Elysium; but playing long games always feel like a hard task to get started with. Especially with a game so focused on text, but I will take your comment as a push that I need to finally get started with it. It already has been 3 or so years since I bought, time flies.
It is a weird game. Super intimidating given the long length. But while I was playing it, I could play for 5 or 6 hours straight without realizing, and that doesn’t happen often at all. It’s exquisite in all aspects - writing, art, music, gameplay.
Since beating it, I’ve been watching the noclip documentary that shows how the game was developed. The studio, now pretty much broken apart, was a commune of art hippies in Estonia living in a labyrinthine building and just being their best creative selves (for a bit, at least), and it shows. It’s a game that feels so fresh in an industry that got so derivative. Keep in mind that it’s a 6-hr documentary I decided to embark upon after spending 30 hours with the game hahahah
I love when a game can get someone addicted like that. I remember every single game (and the reasons why) that has had the same effect on me. Hopefully this one will be a similar experience for me as well!
I do very much enjoy the noclip documentaries, they are fantastic! I haven’t watched this one yet because I don’t want to be spoiled. I know pratically nothing about the game itself, and will stay like that until I start it in a few days :)
That’s the right choice. I also postponed the documentary until playing the game, and it’s quite spoilery
