April 2026
Beneath a Steel Sky: It was okay, though I got stuck a lot and had to rely on guides. I think if I was better at these point and click games and didn’t use guides at all, I’d probably enjoy it more. Still a pretty solid 6/10.
Neo Cab: Can I be honest? I thought you could drive around in this game lol. In hindsight, if that was a feature, they’d probably mention it in its Steam page. Either way, I think I ultimately liked this game, but there were definitely parts I hated. Like the main story. I hated the main story. It was boring, I didn’t care about it, and everything that was about this character in the game, Savy, was the worst. But everything else, your interactions with the other characters that isn’t about the main story, was great. I especially loved Oona, Klaus & Marek, and Gideon. I’d give it a 6/10.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc: I almost dropped this game because of the 2nd case but I’m glad I pushed through it. It really redeemed itself around the 4th case. I like the cast we had by then. A lot of the characters early on felt like they were just there to fill a character quota lol. It was also really easy compared to Ace Attorney and Zero Escape, but I think I didn’t really mind that since it kept the game going and it was just a nice change of pace. I’m giving this one an 8/10.

Goals for May 2026
As much as I want to get started with Danganronpa 2, the amount of unplayed SG wins I have is getting too much for my liking so I’ll focus on those for this month. And yes, still haven’t beaten Amnesia (been trying to beat it for 2-3 months now I think), game is too scary so I keep procrastinating it lol. But I have been making progress… er, very very tiny progress, but still progress nonetheless. My goal for Amnesia this month is to reach halfway through the game. I should probably clarify that I only have 1h 49m playtime on my current save, not 5h. The remaining hours were probably me in the pause menu or my prior attempts of beating it.
Ah… NeoCab ! XD Still have to play this one and you make me very curious now with this feedback.
Except that i think i won’t be as much suprised as you were as i expect more a game like Night Call. Did you play Night Call ?
I haven’t! But I’m looking into it now and the story already looks way more interesting than whatever we got with Neo Cab. I’m gonna have to add that to my wishlist.
Neo Cab just made the main focus of the story TOO unlikable in my opinion so I really just didn’t care about whatever happened. And good luck if you got the bad ending on your first try because phew… haven’t been that pissed off at a video game character in a while. I’m pretty sure that was intentional though so I guess the devs did a good job on that.
Night Call is very focused on passengers’ mini scenarios. I consider it a masterpiece but some friends hated it, so it’s hit or miss.
Installing NeoCab now lol i’ve too see now that you talked about if it’s a perfect disaster ! :D
I just finished NeoCab, didn’t really like the main story, too much focused on Savy and the relationship with Savy. Though overall i wasn’t bored because some of the passengers are unusual or funny. Seeing that the game was developed by Inkle at the end didn’t surprise me, it’s very similar to Inkle’s narrative games. So in the end not sure you’ll like Night Call, because it’s really very similar to this one, except that it has better pacing and is more replayable since there are way more customers, and the story focuses much less on the taxi driver who is more of a quiet observer. Anyway wish you to have fun !
Really glad you weren’t bored at least. The passengers really carried Neo Cab IMO. If Night Call ever goes lower than 80% off, I’ll see if I can get it, otherwise I have too many games in my wishlist at the moment to get a potential hit-or-miss. Still, thank you for letting me know about that game as I’ve never heard of it before at all and now I’m mildly intrigued. Cheers, have a nice day!
Omg, I’m so glad to hear someone else also not liking the main story in Neo Cab! And the few side characters I did meet I liked quite a lot. I think I put the game down around day 2 or something? Would you say the side story/characters is worth it to endure the main one?
Personally, I would say yes. Your customers repeat so you can meet the same characters and that was nice. I don’t think the main story even popped up a lot later on. At least I found it easy enough to ignore that I can’t remember it now lol.
