July 2026 Report!

Another month, another slay! It was a good month gaming-wise.

If you want a fast-paced and not too long FPS, SPRAWL is your game! It lists Quake as inspiration, but I found it much more enjoyable than the only Quake game I played. (Which was Quake II) Also has some Doom 2016 in it. Recommended!
Sayonara Wild Hearts is a great experience! Though it kinda depends on your taste in music as well.
Reignbreaker isn’t a bad game. Short and enjoyable roguelike, but it gets very repetitive if you go for 100%. A bit above average.
No Straight Roads: Encore Edition has an excellent art style, nice soundtrack and fun story, but falls short on level design and gameplay. Both I found quite basic. A sequel will come out soon, hopefully devs will fix its shortcomings!
Lil’ Guardsman was one of the best games I played this month! Super funny, nice story and characters and casual Papers Please-ish puzzles. If you have it, play it!
Idols of Ash is very short, but it excels at what it does! Very good atmosphere and sense of tension, grappling is well-designed and story’s minimal, but nicely told!
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments was better than I expected! A detective game with actual investigation and deduction! It was very fun.
Loved the Dread X Collection version of Sucker for Love, so naturally I loved Sucker for Love: First Date too! Engine’s a little wonky though but it won’t affect your experience much.
The Crush House is sadly too buggy to play. Every bug softlocked the game, couldn’t even finish Day 1! Too late for a refund, oh well.

Stats!
Number of games finished this month: 15
Number of games added to account: 32

Gosh, so many heavy hitters! Congrats! I recognize many items from my wishlist there, and based on your mini-reviews I’ll keep them all there! Hehe

How was Windy Meadow? I recently beat Roadwarden and adored it, but Windy Meadow looks different enough to make me doubtful about it. Also did you enjoy Doronko Wanko? It’s one of the silliest yet most funny vertical slices of a game I’ve ever seen hahaha

Thank you! ^_^
Windy Meadow’s pretty much a visual novel! Follows three characters each with two routes/endings. It was a nice read if you want a little more from the world of Roadwarden. It also originally released a few years before Roadwarden, that one I played is the remaster version :D
And yep, liked Doronko Wanko! Making a mess is always fun :p

Oh I wasn’t aware Windy Meadow preceded Roadwarden! I thought it was a sequel. I dig that world thou, so probably will try to get my hands on Windy Meadow. Thank you!
