July report

Satisfying month! I could finish a lot of games, and some quite long even. Buuuut, I purchased the D&D classics on Humble and I added 16 long CRPGs to my backlog.

I think my backlog now talks to me and asks me to bring it some snacks next time I go to the store :)

Wall of shame

Nothing abandonned this month !

Beaten/ Completed

Till next time :)

Congratulations! Some great games in there. I do have to seriously pick up Blue Prince soon. And my condolences for the D&D Classics :D. I was also extremely tempted to grab them… but I had a very honest conversation with myself, and reached the clear conclusion that it’s unlikely I would play most of the ones I didn’t already have (Eyes of the Beholder are still glaring at me from my backlog, though).

ngl, I’m not totally sure I will play all of them, and I bought them more by impusle than by pure logic. But I think I will play some of them eventually.

Blue Prince is really awesome It’s an unique game, and I don’t think there are other games that mix rogue like/walking sim/puzzle game like this game does. Really something different, and fresh. I can’t recommend it enough

Congratz too as it’s especially impressive how you finish long games, especially Sea of stars and Control !
Lol for laudry store that they managed to do a game about that ! ^^
Ouch for Blue prince the game that you finish but just gives you 1 achievement !

Also +16 RPG….. Uhuh you’ve got a lot of courage to buy this, considering the time it takes just to finish one.

Simulators games are my Kryptonite. i had some intense fun with TCG card simulator. I think I like repeating some moves and upgrading slowly my shop. Laundry store simulator does that very well, as it even adds a food truck in the late game :D

Regarding Blue Prince, I think there may have been a bug , since I reached Room 46 and finished the game (even saw the credits) but I did not got any achievement for this. Maybe i missed something, as many things in this game are mysterious :D

Damn, that’s a respectable lineup. Of those I only have Control and I should play it (along with Alan Wake) soon. Maybe after finishing Elden Ring once I have my gamepad back hehe

BUUUUUUUUUUT I join every GA I see for Sea of Stars, Spilled, Quantum Break and Blue Prince, so yeah, I’m very jealous of your gaming month!! Great job and keep crushing those CRPG’s (I’m glad I don’t remember seeing that bundle - 16 CRPG’s makes me nervous just thinking about it hahaha)

Sword

Sea of stars is totally awesome, it’s honestly the best JRPG I played these 5, maybe 10 last years. I’ve yet to play Clair Obscur so that may change :)

You’ll like Quantum Break and Blue Prince, these are two very unique games :)

Let me know what you think about Alan Wake, I’m avoiding it due to its horror setting but everyone’s telling me this is a mistake.

fernandopa

Well I’m not a big fan of horror games, but I think I will enjoy the 3rd person shooter perspective given how much I liked The Last of Us. From the little I know, Alan Wake is a good fit for TLOU fans.

That said, I wouldn’t have picked up Alan Wake in the last Steam sale if it wasn’t for Alan Wake 2. Many Youtubers I follow praise the sequel as one of the most brilliant videogames they ever played. It seems Remedy is one of these few companies really taking storytelling in videogames to the next level and leveraging what makes this medium unique. If playing Alan Wake 1 is what it takes for me to finally bite the bullet and go for Alan Wake 2, so be it :)

Keep an eye out on the feed and hopefully I’ll review it sooner than later!
