Currently exploring the Iron King DLC
Metroidvania / Action Platformer
Defeated the Soul Master on my third try! Almost died because I took a screenshot at the end of phase 1 — then phase 2 started. Lesson learned.
Simulation / Management / Strategy
A thoughtful management game that teaches genuinely useful emergency-handling skills. After a while, calls start repeating, but the experience remains engaging — especially with fun easter eggs like the mysterious cook from Albuquerque.
Action / Hack & Slash / Story-Rich
A cinematic journey with brutal combat, strong storytelling, and stunning visuals for its time. Performance can be spotty (even on an i5-12400F + RTX 3060 Ti), but the experience is worth it. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys story-driven action adventures.
Nah i don’t see about Albuquerque, what is the reference please ?
Congratz for Ryse, i think it’s maybe issues with recent hardware, as it ran very well in the past on my toaster. :p
The Easter Egg is Breaking Bad, the cook is Mr White XD, there is also another Breaking Bad’s Easter Egg in Albuquerque, that is Jane, the daughter who overdosed. The dad worked at a flying command center, later on he was too sad that lead to 2 planes crash to each others.
For Ryse - yup I think it software incompatible, but it’s an old game, so maybe they will never give it a driver update, wait for the Remaster then XD

Ryse i finished it years ago and my husband was sad that i didn’t wait for him, he wanted to see Boudica on an elephant taking Roma.
You can try Breaking Bad series and Better Call Saul (better than Breaking Bad in my opinion), highly recommend!

He doesn’t play but sometimes likes to watch, some games are very boring to watch as a spectator, some others like Ryse son of Rone are fast-paced and it’s like watching an action movie ! :D

The Soul Master was one of the hardest fights for me, in particular Phase 1. I found there were very very very short windows for damaging him, so I just dodged forever and eventually died hahaha

Thank you! I think playing DarkSouls give me more patient. I also dogded alots until the end of phase 1, I think phase 2 is much easier XD. Still a long way to beat the game!
Except for the last boss, I don’t think the mainline bosses get much harder than that. Broken Vessel was a chore but the rest were mostly fine.
Optional bosses get crazy thou. Nosk is still one of my least favorite fights, and I never beat the Grimm DLC boss
I don’t own the DLC yet, but my plan is try to finish this game first, then Silksong, then back to this game with DLC XD, the real hard of the game I think is to expand and find the way around the map.
Oh man I just die countless number on the Flukemarm, fnally I come up with the solution, I remove the map charm and the auto gem collect, swap with thorn charm and the defender crest. Stick to one side and spaming soul blast :(
Flukemarm is one of those fights that is more finnicky than challenging hahaha with a proper build you can obliterate it. It’s different from the Hornet or Mantis Lords, those just require learning the pattern and getting good, and I find them way more rewarding for that
Also DLC’s are free and as far as I know, included in the base game. You might even have experienced some of the content already without knowing - probably not the Pantheon as that only unlocks late in the game, but you might have seen parts of the Grimm Truppe depending on the route you took
Oh I don’t know the DLC is free, no wonder why people like Cherry Team so much XD. I just beat Nosk, I think I know how you feel, took me nearly 20 tries. The guy is too tanky and annoying.

Nosk sucks lol also the whole sequence leading to it is creepy as hell, and his movement pattern is really hard to read. I had to cheese him, no shame in that ahahaha
