First report of the year—though I’m kind of lazy since I’ve played so many games recently 😄

Finished Games
Caravan SandWitch ✅ Recommended

I already liked the game the moment I started it — gorgeous graphics, soothing music, and relaxing mechanics. The story, however, is just fine, nothing too special. The game still has some flaws, like the achievement bugs I mentioned earlier, but the developers clearly still care about their product, and I really hope they continue supporting it. Some people might find this game boring, but for me it’s a nice, relaxing escape. So overall, I’d definitely recommend it.

Balatro ✅ Recommended

RNG Tester Simulator!

Sweet Pea Journey—Season 1 is peak, in my opinion. Season 4 gives a satisfying ending, though it would’ve been better if they had shown the final scene with one of the traders is Kenny.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin ✅ Recommended

Recommended if this is not the first Souls you play!

Hadean Tactics ✅ Recommended

It’s a really nice combination of auto-battler and roguelike deck-building. I played TFT and Slay the Spire before, so this game is totally my kind of thing. It’s pretty RNG-dependent though—get a few good pulls and you can almost forget about tactics.

FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION ✅ Recommended

This is my first Final Fantasy game, so I came in with no real expectations—just enjoying my first playthrough. Overall, I did enjoy the game, though not as much as I expected given how big the Final Fantasy franchise is. That said, this experience definitely made me curious, and I plan to try other titles in the series in the near future.

Children of Morta ✅ Recommended

A nice pixel roguelike! I really like how each character’s skills help strengthen the rest of the family. Throughout the game, mini-events and side quests pop up and really flesh out the story, which is great. It’s a chill game, and I recommend playing it with friends — even though I ended up soloing it :<

Deadlink ✅ Recommended

Doom-style cyberpunk with roguelike elements — perfect for some no-brainer, stress-relief fun. Simple, chaotic, and satisfying.

FAR: Lone Sails ✅ Recommended

Almost finished it in one go. No complicated puzzles, no hard bosses, just a relaxing game with simple mechanics, good music and gorgeous art. Once the machine starts running, every frame looks like wallpaper material. Definitely recommended!

The Gap ✅ Recommended

A nice game that leaves us questioning the balance between work and family.

Still Wakes the Deep ✅ Recommended

I finished the game yesterday, but only had time to write this today :3 I think I overcame my fear—or maybe it was because I played on Story mode :< Still, the game is short and doesn’t rely heavily on jump scares, which I really appreciated. Once I was brave enough to face the first monster encounter, the rest felt much easier.

Graphics: beautiful. The level design is solid: after a dark, narrow area, you’re led into a wide, open space to cool down a bit before heading back into the darkness again.

The real horror, for me, lies in the story. The main character is just a normal person trying to find his way back to his family—his only hope. After all the suffering, pain, his friends died one by one in the search for escape, he ends up sacrificing himself, hoping it would save his family. A truly desperate and tragic story.

WTF.

Progress Log

Action RPG / Soulslike

Keep dying to the snowy King so I pause :<

Adventure / Story-Rich / Episodic

Playing season 3 now.

Finished Games
The Corridor ✅ Recommended

Comedy / Meta / Short Game

This honestly feels like a troll-game — in a good way. I enjoyed it a lot. The dev also shares some insights about game design, which I appreciated because I once considered making a game myself :v A short, funny, clever experience.

Stealth / Immersive Sim

Still great, just like the first two Dishonored games. But I do think it would’ve been better if the chaos system returned — it added so much personality to the previous titles. I’m also not a fan of the “eye” ability in this game. Overall though, it’s still a solid, enjoyable Dishonored experience.

Midnight Fight Express ✅ Recommended

Beat 'Em Up / Stylish Action

This game gives strong Sleeping Dogs and John Wick vibes. The story twist wasn’t super surprising, but it’s still fine. The real star is the gameplay — smooth, stylish, satisfying — and the soundtrack fits perfectly, making the whole experience feel like watching an action movie. A very fun ride.

Mortal Kombat X ✅ Recommended

Fighting / Action

My first entry into the Mortal Kombat series — and it’s great. Surprisingly beginner-friendly: I can mash buttons randomly and still pull off combos. That alone makes it fun enough to recommend. And the brutalities… very cool :3

Frostpunk ✅ Recommended

City-builder / Survival / Strategy

I thought it would be a chill city-builder like Cities Skylines at first — but I was totally wrong. Frostpunk is much harder, and every decision feels intense. Even though I'm not good at this genre, the game hooked me immediately. The atmosphere, pressure, and moral choices kept pulling me in. I even had to look up some tutorials XD Overall, a challenging but extremely rewarding experience — definitely recommended.

Progress Log

Action RPG / Soulslike

Wandering through the last DLC — the snowy kingdom.

Adventure / Story-Rich / Episodic

The game doesn’t have cloud save. I reinstalled windows and everything disappeared — I had to play from Episode 3 to the end of Season 1 without my previous choices. Absolutely hate it. Season 1 hits like a truck, even though I kind of guessed the ending. In my opinion, the fate of some characters isn’t very well written.

Finished Games
Atomic Heart ✅ Recommended

FPS / Action / Sci-Fi

The visuals are fantastic — character models look incredible (the twins… yeah), and the world design is top-notch. The story and twist are okay, but I feel they could’ve taken it even further. Like Control, I think this game would be better if it were more linear. The weapon upgrade system is the weakest part: swapping a mod forces you to re-upgrade it from scratch every single time, which made me stick with just three weapons (shotgun, AK, bazooka). Still, I enjoyed the experience overall. Definitely recommended — hoping Atomic Heart 2 improves the weak points.

Titan Souls ✅ Recommended

Boss Rush / Precision / Indie

Fast-food Soulsborne — you one-hit bosses, and they one-hit you. The challenge comes from the one-arrow mechanic: you shoot, then must retrieve it, making timing and precision everything. The bosses are well designed, the soundtrack is calm and pleasant, and even though the mechanic gave me a hard time, the game is still worth recommending.

Styx: Master of Shadows ✅ Recommended

Stealth / Fantasy / Third-Person

The story is a bit confusing for me, but the graphics still look surprisingly good for today’s standards. The stealth mechanics and level design are great, though it was tough since pure stealth isn’t my strongest genre. Still, for fans of stealth-heavy gameplay — definitely recommended.

Action RPG / Soulslike

Right, back into the Iron King DLC.

Adventure / Story-Rich / Episodic

Continuing onto Episode 3 of Season 1.

Finished Games
Fly Corp ✅ Recommended

Simulation / Strategy / Airline Management

The core mechanics are very simple: you manage airline routes and handle passenger traffic. I had a good amount of fun with it, and it’s satisfying when everything runs smoothly. However, there’s one downside — the Campaign mode feels nearly impossible to finish. The game doesn’t have any difficulty settings, and from my experience, Campaign might as well be set to Hard/Brutal by default. In Campaign, you have 6 minutes to unlock a random country. When you unlock it, the time gets extended by another 6 minutes. The problem is the randomness: If you unlock a small, nearby country, the new routes are cheap and easy to manage. But if you unlock a large country, several airports appear at once, and you need to connect them immediately — otherwise one airport overloads → game over. On top of that, there are random events like: Airports shutting down • Airport level reductions • Sudden suitcase “bankruptcy” events All of these can collapse your economy instantly. I eventually found a pattern to survive the early game, but I still couldn’t get past around ~15 countries before the randomness caused a fail. Overall, the game is enjoyable — just don’t take Campaign too seriously. Play Free Mode, build your airline network at your own pace, and you’ll have a much better time.

Control Ultimate Edition ✅ Recommended

Action / Supernatural / Third-Person Shooter

The storytelling and visuals in this game are amazing — together they create a strong, surreal atmosphere that really pulls you in. The NPCs are surprisingly lively too. I especially liked Ahti the Janitor — the moment I met him, I honestly thought he might end up being the final boss 😂 I do wish the Service Weapon had more form variations, or at least looked a bit more impactful in some modes. Also, the map design can be confusing — the layout often feels like a maze. Personally, I think the game might have been even better if it leaned more toward a linear structure, or at least clearer navigation. But even with those issues, the experience as a whole is excellent. Great atmosphere, great style — I really enjoyed it.

Dead Reset ✅ Recommended

Horror / Time-loop / Narrative

It’s a time-loop story, where you die over and over again until you reach the end. I really love this concept — funny enough, my first ever win on SG was Life is Strange, which also plays with time loops. What a coincidence! The game’s horror aspect isn’t too scary (the devil creature’s design is a bit tame — maybe due to budget limits), but the gore feels disturbingly real. The story, choices, and atmosphere are all done really well — they kept me curious the whole time. The plot twist was solid too, even though I could kind of see it coming. I got 1 of the 4 endings, but sadly, there’s no option to replay from key decisions, so you’ll need to start over to see the others. Hopefully, they’ll patch that in later. Overall — recommended!

Progress Log

Action RPG / Soulslike

Had to pause a little bit since I got hooked into Hollow Knight.

Adventure / Story-Rich / Episodic

Just finished 2 episodes in Season 1 — some choices can really hit hard emotionally.

Control Ultimate Edition ⏳ In Progress

Action / Supernatural / Third-Person Shooter

Started exploring the mysterious Oldest House — I kinda like the atmosphere.

Hollow Knight ✅ Recommended

Metroidvania / Action Platformer

There’s not much more to say about this masterpiece — the art, the music, the challenge, and the world design all blend together to create a truly unique experience. Just finished my first playthrough and got the bad ending XD — I’ll be back soon for the 112% completion and the other endings!

Action RPG / Soulslike

Currently exploring the Iron King DLC

Hollow Knight ⏳ In Progress

Metroidvania / Action Platformer

Defeated the Soul Master on my third try! Almost died because I took a screenshot at the end of phase 1 — then phase 2 started. Lesson learned.

Finished Games
911 Operator ✅ Recommended

Simulation / Management / Strategy

A thoughtful management game that teaches genuinely useful emergency-handling skills. After a while, calls start repeating, but the experience remains engaging — especially with fun easter eggs like the mysterious cook from Albuquerque.

Ryse: Son of Rome ✅ Recommended

Action / Hack & Slash / Story-Rich

A cinematic journey with brutal combat, strong storytelling, and stunning visuals for its time. Performance can be spotty (even on an i5-12400F + RTX 3060 Ti), but the experience is worth it. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys story-driven action adventures.

Report #6 – October 24, 2025

I play other games to cool me down after dying in Dark Souls 2 and Hollow Knight.
For Dark Souls 2, I just lighted up the third primal fire.
For Hollow Knight, I just defeated the Mantis Lords.

Finished:

DiRT 3 Complete EditionRacing / Sports / Driving

A pretty solid game for a casual player like me.
I enjoy combining my music sessions with driving games, and this one fits perfectly — the graphics still hold up well even today.
The only downside is in Season 3 and 4, where the races become quite long and start feeling a bit boring and sleepy (maybe it’s just my music making me sleepy 😆).

The game seems to be removed from the store, maybe my region only.

Report #5 – October 21, 2025

On my way clearing SG the backlog. Doing Dark Souls 2, Hollow Knight playthrough at the same time.

Finished:

Sniper Elite 3Action / Stealth / Shooter

Shooting with SMGs and pistols feels clunky, and the running controls are awkward.
There are also some weird bugs, and the game keeps crashing.
This is the first entry in the series I’ve played, and honestly, I can’t recommend it.
I’ll try other games in the series to see if they’re any better than this one.

The Sexy BrutalePuzzle / Mystery / Adventure

I really like the art style of the game — it’s stylish and unique.
The controls feel smooth (I played with a controller and highly recommend it).
The music fits the atmosphere perfectly, enhancing the mood throughout.
Overall, it’s a clever and engaging story with a satisfying time-rewind mechanic. If you like Last day of June or Life is Strange, you may wanna try this one.

Report #4 – October 18, 2025

After a long break, I finally found the time and motivation to play games again.
I still remember my first time on this site — back then, I was a university student.
Now, I’m working full-time and taking care of my family… how time flies. 🎮❤️

Finished:

Metro ExodusAction / FPS / Story-Rich

I’m not really into horror-type games, yet somehow I managed to finish the entire trilogy.
The atmosphere is top-notch, the story is compelling, and the gunplay feels excellent.

Last Day of JuneAdventure / Emotional / Story-Rich

A beautifully emotional experience. The art style is charming, the music perfectly sets the mood,
and the story… hits deep. It’s not a long game, but it leaves a lasting impression.
The puzzles can get a bit repetitive, yet they serve the narrative well.

Lost CastleAction / Roguelike / Co-op

The game starts strong but becomes a bit repetitive after a few runs.
It feels slower compared to Hades and requires some grinding to progress.
Still, the combat is fun, the art is charming, and co-op adds great replayability.
Overall, it’s a joyful little roguelike — perfect for COOP.

Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru Part 1Visual Novel / Anime / Story-Rich

The art is cute, and the animation is nicely done.
The story didn’t leave a strong impression on me, but if you’re into visual novels,
it’s worth a try. Overall, it’s decent — though I’m not sure why they split it into two parts. 😅
