Easygoing exploration game without combat. You wander around finding new locations and doing quests. And collect masks.

Well done metroidvania which earns its positive reputation. Having quite heavy Dark Souls vibes thematically.

Curse of the Dead Gods

15.8 hours, 20 of 30 achievements

Action game with lots of traps. Everything is quite well done but for some reason the core game doesn't feel pulling me in. Not sure why. Perhaps the progression system does not feel rewarding enough? Still have the last hard mission unfinished. Perhaps try them.

Slasher's Keep

Okayish first person action RPG with the kick (sack in this game). Took me way too long to find out how to fill water bottles, which are really useful in the alchemy part. Movement feels clumsy and you get easily stuck in items. Combat is alright but doesn't feel that interesting.

Trials of Fire

Card battler with grid map. Overall well made and polished game. I dislike the time limit aspect, though. Each movement in map consumes morale and hence gives you a deadline. Wander for too long and your adventures quit resulting in game over.

Congratulations on all of your assassinations! I need to get back into Hollow Knight, it was super fun.
What games do you have planned, if any, for next month?

tubberware

Monster Hunter and Deep Rock Galactic for co-op gaming. I had a plan to start/play Witcher 3 but that did not succeed. Instead I have been playing smaller indie games. Still trying to find proper slot for W3 as I won it from SG earlier this year.

You can do it! I was working on the second because I wanted to do the whole series in order thing - pro-tip, skip the first and listen to a youtube video explaining the game story - but then in the second I got stuck in a dark cave and couldn’t figure the way out for the life of me, I needed cat’s eye potions to even see and I ran out and got lost because it’s a labyrinth with respawning enemies, so I couldn’t even use a trail of bodies as a guide.

Played W1 and W2 years ago. I have some hazy recollection about the story but nothing solid. Except that elves were jerks. :p
