its amazing so far ^_^ any tips?

    I know I loved it!

Sure, I’d love to give tips. Sorry I got carried away and gave you to many :P

    • You might know this but it’s important to keep the survivors mood up. If they have a coffee or cigeratte addiction, try to feed those addictions to keep their moods up. Also make sure not to kill or rob innocents unless you have to since it bums the survivors out. If your characters get depressed or broken, try feeding them and having survivors have conversations with them. It helps a tiny bit, but maybe just enough. Drinking alcohol also helps a tiny bit, but only use this if it’s serious. Moonshine is much better used for trade and drinking the alcohol will leave them unable to scavenge or sleep.

    • You can also read the “our stuff” description to see what you need in the house to make them happy. The more you do, the more it updates.

    • Make sure to update your workshops when you can! They add many more options when updated more and more. Make a metal workshop and get a shovel on day one or two!

    • Keep two people guarding the house while you scavenge. Especially if you don’t have weapons yet!

    • Use your character traits to your advantage! Make sure Bruno cooks the food and Katia does the trades! Also you should also bring the person with the highest inventory for Scavenger hunts, even if another character is faster.

    • Bandages and food are so important! Try not to trade to many of these away because towards the end you’ll be clamering to get your hands on some. Also make sure to make moonshine because it’s a great bargaining item.

    • It’s okay if your characters are hungry. I wouldn’t try to feed them until they are very hungry. In a horrible situation like that, being hungry is the norm.

    • Board up your houses right away! Don’t worry about buying beds for everyone. One bed will suffice one day one or two.

    • If you are having trouble getting everything done in the day, try to build things in convenient spots and close together in the house. That way the survivors don’t have to travel to far. Double clicking them makes them go faster though so it isn’t that big of a deal.

    • When scavenging, make sure to leave before 5am. If you don’t get out in time, your character comes home late and can be badly wounded.

    • Areas you visited will be scavenged by others. More so if you kill everyone in the area. Don’t leave anything behind that is important!

    • Don’t get into a fight unless you have a helmet or vest. Melee weapons are some of the most powerful but knifes should only be used for backstab. Make sure you know the range of the gun, but overall try not to pick fights unless you really want too, because if you use a gun you’ll most likely leave wounded in some way.

    • During raids, only the items in your “your things” list can be taken. Items you take on scavenging or items around the apartment can’t be taken. A good tip is to leave cooked food on the stove so it’s not in your inventory. If you have boarded windows, guards and weapons you shouldn’t have to worry about raids to much though.

    • Radios are important! The radio boosts morale and gives you info. If it tells you winter is coming, make sure to build a heater!

    • Make sure to only quit the game when the night is done. The game doesn’t save in the middle of the day. It’s kind of annoying but at least you can redo if your character dies or you make a horrible decision.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. The game doesn’t have a tutorial so it’s really hard to figure out at first. I loved it as soon as I figured it out though!

    ty so much ^_^

im trying to do a run without killing and steeling at all…so far its shows difficulties there arent much locations to scavenge without other gangs member/steeling :S
got rubbed on day 5/6 lost most of my gear :S

    few questions:

    • is there a general way to improve mood?
    • how do i make them talk one another?
    • moonshine vs herbs? (i went for the herbs for the cigarettes) is moonshine better for trade?
    • how do i open there inventory to give them weapons?
    • how do i get additional party members (like Katia)?
    • way to upgrade party members?
    stef

Yeah more locations unlock as you go but it’s hard to do it without stealing. Try to steal from the people who deserve it the most :P. If you are getting robbed, make sure to board up the windows, keep two people guarded (some characters guard better then others. And keep at least one weapon at home :). If you upgrade your workshop a couple times you can also buy a security alarm. Oh also, dont get caught stealing, even from innocents because a lot will fight back for their things.

    1. You can improve mood by doing morally good things (helping neighbors, saving civilians, donating food, etc). It has the opposite effect if you kill others, or don’t help anyone. I can tell you a location I saw a good moral boosting event if you want.
A radio will also boost mood and keep you informed. Also the survivors don’t like to see their friends suffering, so if one or more of your characters are hurting, depressed, or starving, it will bring everyone down.
A big way is by feeding their addictions. Craft cigs for the smokers and try to get coffee for the caffeine addicts. Make sure you craft an armchair so the characters can read the books too!
I actually just found a helpful article here. If you scroll down it tells you what brings the moods up and what brings them down :)
Also if you have Zlata as a character, she is a mood boosting machine. Have her talk to depressed people or craft her a guitar. She raises moods fairly quick.

    2. The survivors can only talk to eachother when they hit “depressed” status. You’ll see a talk bubble pop up above the character. Switch to another character then click on the talk icon and they will converse. If the characters hit “broken” you’ll want to talk to them a lot and do what you can because that’s the last stage of depression.

    3. Moonshine is more valuable then herbs. If you craft the Moonshine maker then you’ll be able to trade pretty well. Bandages, Medication, and canned food are also great for trades, but they are also valuable for your characters to keep.

    4. Items in your inventory are usually used automatically by the characters. You can only choose to bring weapons on raids. Cigarettes, books, and coffee are used automatically by your character whether you want them too or not. If you leave the weapons and don’t bring them on the raid, the survivors will usually use them for defense if someone tries to break in. If you choose to bring them on raids, your character will automatically be carrying the weapon and you can click on the weapon on the left and then click on the person you want to attack to use it. TL:DR. you can’t open the inventory, but the characters will use the weapons for defense if someone tries to break in. Or if you give it to them on raids you have an option to use them. Items like vests or helmets don’t show up on your character during raids, but they are still equipped if you bring them.

    5. You can’t choose when or who you get additionally, but most times during your game, a new character will come to your door and ask if they can join you. It’s totally random but usually happens in the middle of the game. You can customize your own game though instead of playing the random games. If you customize your own games, you can make the game the game easier or harder AND choose the party members you want. Also in customization you can choose the maps you want along with other things.

    6. You can’t upgrade party members. You can only keep them alive until the war ends :) If you upgrade the workshops, you can get more and more useful things though!

As you know by now I like to talk so hopefully I didn’t give you to much to read :P anymore questions let me know!

I just bought the season pass which is interesting because the episodes are more of a linear story then a crafting survival game.

    ty that helped ^_^
