I absolutely enjoyed my time with this game. It’s beautiful, the gameplay is awesome and the story just makes you want to play and know more and more (even if you actually understand less and less with time). This is one of those games that I’d probably complete if I didn’t have anything else to play since it was so satisfying/entertaining.
The game is in the current Choice if anyone’s interesting. Now the only “big” Remedy game I’m yet to play is Alan Wake… and after beating Control, I definitely should pick it up sooner than later, I guess? I’ve had the game for years. “Scarier” than this it cannot be, right?

I replayed Alan Wake after playing Control. In the former, you fight the darkness or the dark presence, but I didn’t think it was scary or creepy. If you intend to play the DLC for Control, it’s a good idea to play Alan Wake first. The AWE DLC doesn’t continue the story of Alan Wake, but it connects the two games.

Just keep in mind that the gameplay isn’t as good as that in Control. Even before I played Control, I thought the gameplay in Alan Wake was meh. Playing it right after Control made it feel soooooo slow.

Thanks for your answer! I don’t plan to play the DLC now (will wait for a “big” discount), since I don’t even own it, but I’ll try not to forget to only play them after playing Alan Wake! :D
