November Sum-Up

I’m being lazy atm so I’m finding excuses not to sleep play other games.

Yes, I finally finished this one. It's very addicting, I almost wanted to collect all shinies before finishing, but I realized that I have other games to play so…
On the downside, it's very slow paced and grindy, especially post-game. Not for everyone. It got a lot of contents tho and it's a good time sink.

It's alright. I didn't enjoy the story at first since it's so slow-paced (I hate unnecessary talk), but it turns out ok in the end. I like how your decision can change the future and how easy it is to change it. The cons is that it can be too vague to find the perfect ending (I was sure I didn't change anything on one character yet their ending suddenly changed to the perfect ending one).

Again, it's alright. I don't particularly like the cooking - I like minigames, but this one seems to be confusing at first, and then later on it becomes dragging too much. Luckily, it's optional. I like how you can ride animals to travel, but you can't talk to the characters while riding the animals so you have to constantly get down, and it takes time.

I think this is the best game I played this month…? I like how smooth the animation is. Sometimes I got stuck on the puzzle because they hardly give any hints, but it's easy enough once you think about it for a while. I also like the puzzle design.

For the third time, it's alright. I like the beginning; It kept me busy because there are so many things to do, but then I started to run out of things to do in… fall, I think? Then things went downhill from there.

The broken achievements makes out the most of it, tbh. One version (the one I played, they got 2 executables) don't spawn bugs at all that is needed for one achievement, while the other achievement is completely broken. Not to mention that the dev kept on saying anything odd that I mentioned as "it's not a bug". I don't get it at all… Well, at least they wanted to do something in the next build so maybe there's hope? Hopefully the dev catches on (I'm pretty sure I talked to a publisher that know no coding at all) and fixed it tbh…

No, it's not alright. It's… I don't know what to describe this game. I didn't know what it wants to convey.

Okay, maybe I lied. I kinda know the premise, but I'm not getting it. It's boring and I didn't get the full story since I kept on missing the traveling merchant that comes to your home every day since he's easy to miss if you are not paying attention to him. Well, I just hoped the game will end soon when I played it. Luckily, it's not that long…

Not a lot of great games last month. I’m exhausted. Temtem and Spirit of the Island took most of my playtime. Even though I enjoyed them when I played it, I ended up burned out from playing all of these… Not to mention after finishing Disco Elysium that I just finished, but that’s for next month’s report.

Well, I think I’ll take a break for December. I know I still got some wins/gifts to play, but I want to play other games that doesn’t seem to be mind-numbing first. I played too many of those games last month… I’ll still alternate it between my wins/gifts, though. There shouldn’t be a lot of them left.

See you later.

Nice Reviews! Does TemTem have a lot of multiplayer interaction? I remember buying it because it was like pokemon but with other players. It didn’t have a lot of options to interact with others last time I played though. Also I quit playing calico since I didn’t like it so its nice to read your review so I know I probably wouldn’t have liked it still if I had continued. Good luck on your next games!

Thank you! Not really, unless you play coop or want to chat with people, there is hardly any multiplayer interaction. There is this thing called lairs that can be played with up to 5 people, but even that you hardly communicate with each other.

Also, yeah, you probably wont like calico if you dont like the first few hours, sadly.

Thanks! Good luck to you too :)
