Update 17
Finally back to gaming a bit more, but watching the football World Cup is taking up a bunch of my time as well lol. Still, I’m hopeful for how many games I could beat this month :) Let’s get right into June for now
Games beaten:
I've heard a lot of people rave about this game, and goddamn they were right. I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would. The atmosphere is on point and the inventory system is brilliant. I also love that damage isn't just plain hitpoints, but it actually affects your ship in different ways. The story I thought was really good too. The different regions you have to sail through are fun and unique enough, yes you still do the same thing of catch fish do similar quest, but this core gameplay loop never got boring. This is a game that is best to go in fully blind. I hope to hop back in for the DLC at some point.
Solid game, interesting variety of characters. It was a fun game, but I'm happy with just one playthrough, the choices don't seem to be intricate enough.
Very Disco Elysium inspired in many ways. I most loved the voices in your head, dexterity was by far my favourite. It's much more story focused than combat focused, and there's a lot of reading with no voice acting. Some of the lore dumps I just skipped through, because there were just too many. NPCs are nicely fleshed out and the art style is great. I did sometimes encounter some buggy movement where my character was kinda lagging when sprinting so it took a bit longer to move to places, but it wasn't too much of a bother. The dialogue is very funny sometimes, definitely recommend if you wanna get some laughs (though there's some very serious topics as well, the main character is just a goofball).
hm I usually yap a little here but I don’t really have anything more to say this time 🤔
New backlog additions:
Esoteric looks like fun! I’ve never heard of it but I just added it to my wishlist. Nice reviews!

Congratz for your month, i agree NeoCab is a good surprise but doesn’t offer much replayability. Esoteric ebb looks cool, good discovery !
Aaah planet zoo, the most relaxing game for miles around, and even without the DLC, there’s plenty to do
