Umamusume: Pretty Derby
Mostly just played Rocket League and BattleBit Remastered this month which is nothing new, but I did play some new stuff and revisited some older games for extra achievements. I also replayed Sonic Mania, and did some speedruns of the first level. It would have been nice to do more but I am preparing to move so not as much time for gaming.
Who Muted Uncle Marcus? is a FMV game where you need to solve the mystery of who poisoned Uncle Marcus. I expected it to be cringe but it’s actually pretty funny. I wouldn’t call it a “fun” game but it was a nice experience. I had beaten it before but I revisited the game to get the many achievements I was missing.
I don’t care for visual novels, but at least the achievements are easy to get. I used a guide to get 100% in Magi Trials. Visuals suck, story sucks.
Tried the new skate. game, but it seemed to interfere with my streaming software so I ended up uninstalling it. Then it was included in this week’s Alienware Arena Steam Quests so I just idled the game for an extra hour. I do want to play it some more, but if it keeps messing with my streams I am going to uninstall again.
Tried Luck be a Landlord and it felt like I did pretty good for my first attempt. It’s a decent slot machine-based roguelike. I really enjoyed Balatro (got 100% on mobile) and when I heard this game was an inspiration for the Balatro developer I knew I had to try it. Will most likely be revisiting it, but probably not going to go for 100%.
Pinball Spire seems good, but I got interrupted while playing it so I don’t have much to say about it.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby has a good art style but I didn’t enjoy the gameplay. Maybe it gets good eventually but I’ll probably never play it again.
How do you know the story sucks if you’ve not even read it?
I didn’t finish the story but I did start it and I didn’t care for it. Obviously the statements I made are subjective but that’s what I felt about the game, though you and others may feel differently about it.
