RobbyRatpoison's January BLAEO Review
Almost got 100% in Like a Dragon Gaiden, but there’s a very difficult optional fight that I couldn’t manage to beat. I was missing one achievement in The Stanley Parable and to get it I needed to leave the game open for an entire Tuesday, so dumb. A little while back I did some speedruns of the ChromaGun 2 demo and this month I decided to finally try the first game. It’s good but the puzzles mostly seemed easy having played the ChromaGun 2 demo, the levels are pretty small, and some puzzles felt kinda janky. I went back and played a little bit of the original Binding of Isaac and got the “Complete the full game” achievement. Finally I played a bunch of little hidden object games and got 100% of the achievements in all of them, excluding any achievements that are only available by buying their DLCs. Side note, I’ve been waiting over 6 years to get accepted into the Steam group. I’ve only recently started making these posts because just using the site for tracking my completion status seems to be insufficient. I’ve been working on my backlog and updating my completion status here since I joined the website back in November of 2018: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/6Sx5e8c
RobbyRatpoison's December BLAEO Review
Launched this game for Alienware points, decided to actually play it a bit and got hooked. I played multiplayer for a while and had some fun with randos, but after getting griefed a few times I started playing alone. It was nice having enough employees eventually so I could get prepared, open the store, and walk away while the game played itself.
I enjoyed this game in 2018 and 2019 but I neglected to actually beat it until now. I basically had 1.5 levels left in the main game, but when returning after such a long break I forgot how to play. I went back and replayed some simple levels before tackling the final two levels to finally beat the game. They also have been adding a bunch of extra levels with new mechanics and I spent a lot of time grinding those levels as well. Going for 100% seems too tedious but maybe I will tackle it eventually, it is a fun game after all.
It's free and not bad, but it's not nearly as fun as the official Super Smash Bros. games. I'm typically not a fighting game fan but I do enjoy Smash style ones. I have fond memories of playing the original Super Smash Bros. against my babysitter back in the late '90s. Never played Smash 4, only played Brawl at my buddy's place, but I owned and played the original, Melee, and Ultimate a lot. Kirby, Link, and Simon/Richter were my mains.
Goofy little 3D platformer, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A little frustrating finding missing blueprints and Turbo Trash but the good times along the way far outweighed the minor inconveniences at the end to unlock 100% of the achievements.
It's not a bad game but it's not very good either. Hidden objects, sometimes timed, and themed after a gameshow. It was alright at first but it quickly overstayed it's welcome.
Decent little arcade style game. A couple achievements were for scoring a certain amount in one run, and that required actually getting good enough to survive and score points. Most of the achievements are just grinding for cumulative points and coins to buy new ships. It's actually kinda fun but the final achievement was anticlimactic. Instead of successfully doing something difficult and feeling accomplished, it was just relief that the grind was over. And honestly it was not even that long of a grind.
Lovely game with funny mouth sounds. Not much to say about this game, you get exactly what is advertised. Point and click, hidden objects, sometimes things are hidden inside or behind things so you need to interact with stuff to kind of explore each level. Another game I started a long time ago and nearly beat but never actually finished it. Feels good to not only beat a game that was left "unfinished" for over 6 years but to add another game to my "completed" list.
Staxel seems like an alright game, but it's just not really my style. It's a farming, building, and collecting game without a defined ending. For games without a defined ending (like Brawlhalla up above) I use the PAGYWOSG criteria of 25% of the achievements counts as beating a game. I did try the game, did some quests, farming, and collecting, but I don't feel compelled to go further with this one.
Thank Goodness You're Here!

Thanks Goodness I Played It!
This game went from weird to weirder. Not trying to spoil it so I will be brief and broad. I enjoyed it, but because I missed things and can't go back it would require another playthrough to get 100% achievements. If I planned better and/or used a guide it probably could've been done in one playthrough. Thumbs up.
Story was not compelling, hit detection is terrible, and many other things made this game the worst one I played this month. Fortunately the game is playable and I was able to beat it after winning it back in 2018. I can't say the same for the first game I won, that one is extremely broken and will never be beaten.
OVIVO is a cool platformer with a kind of anti-gravity color switching mechanic that was fun to learn and play around with. The worlds are well made and I enjoyed going after some of the optional collectibles. The reason I called it broken is because you can skip a lot of the game and I don't know if it's intentional or not. Pausing and then unpausing will warp you to the next checkpoint so you only need to beat maybe 20% of each level if you abuse it. I found this by accident and went back to replay levels that I accidentally skipped, but I bet you could beat this game in 20 minutes or less if you wanted to.
I found them
I have very little to say about this one, sorry! It was alright and maybe model train enthusiasts would enjoy it more but to me it was just a cozy way to waste some time with a couple challenges that were not challenging at all.
I found them too
I expected this game to be pretty bad but it was actually decent. Yes the physics are floaty, but the various obstacles seemed to fit well with the movement options that were available. It's a very short game but there are extra costumes that are difficult to find and obtain. This is where the physics sort of got in the way, you have to race the clock with a restricted move set and some of them were very challenging. Luckily they are not necessary for 100% achievements but just add bonus content for people who want to push themselves.

I spent a lot of time getting 100% but they just had to add a new achievement. I actually re-downloaded it to do a few runs randomly, and I was shocked to accidentally get an achievement. I also did a bunch of daily runs this month, and the game is still fun despite the 1000+ hour grind to get all of the achievements.
Very cool game, I was blessed to win this gem. Connor is the best but I liked the others despite the occasional cringe. It's a well made game that was very thought provoking, and I would definitely recommend it. I also tried Heavy Rain this month (it's made by the same developers) and the controls were terrible so I gave up.
It's just minesweeper, but I like minesweeper
I enjoyed this old Telltale game but no way I would pay what it costs to get a key in 2025. The investigations have red herrings, and it's never explained if they are good or bad to find, seems like it's just neutral and does not impact the story or the score. They tried to tie the different episodes together with a cold case but it kind of felt clunky the way they did it.
Nothing crazy here, but a fun 2D platformer with a nice art style some neat speed mechanics and power-ups. Beating the levels was generally fairly easy but the bosses were challenging and some of the 100% objectives were pretty tough too. For every level there are bonuses for collecting 100+ gems, finding the two secret challenge areas, beating the level without taking damage, and beating the target time for speedrunning the level. It was a fun time, I recommend it for fellow platformer enjoyers.
Generally not my type of game but I did enjoy the first Blossom Tales and I enjoyed this one too. I didn't find it too challenging, but I also didn't feel compelled to go for 100% on this one. I did a lot of extra stuff but there was too much left to do and it seemed like it would be far to tedious, partially because it's not even clear what I was missing. Maybe this is not the deepest game but that allows for somebody like me to tackle it and not feel overwhelmed.
This was a neat little puzzle game, and it did a good job of portraying a story without actually telling a story with words. I had to look up a couple things that just didn't seem to work no matter what I did, probably because I was not 100% sure what all the items were so I couldn't tell where they were supposed to go. It was funny to play this game while also moving IRL, and I was able to move successfully! I had only moved once before but only like 5 minutes away so this was (and is) pretty stressful, completely leaving my friends and hometown behind.
I'm not gonna spoil stuff, but there was some surprising difficulty in playing this one on my Steam Deck.
KILLBUG is similar to Devil Daggers, an endless arena shooter that gets progressively harder the longer you survive. Shoot, rocket jump, special attacks, and dash through enemies to reload and heal yourself. I saw people saying it's an easy game, but I've also seen people say the moon is made of gorgonzola. I will try to get further but I may be incapable of achieving 100% in this one. Not the type of game I would spend dozens of hours playing but I could definitely understand other people doing it. I'm happy just to have gotten 80% of the achievements but I am sure I can get at least a couple more.
Nice little game but adding permadeath at the end is unnecessarily punishing. Beat it on my third attempt and still only took 40 minutes, but restarting was not fun it was just annoying. I am glad somebody made a guide to help explain things, because the game basically explained almost nothing.
First attempt, I died. Second attempt I killed the one and only enemy and beat the game in under 2 minutes. Then I went searching through the vast procedurally generated swampland looking for guard towers that were far too spread apart. Then spent a minute standing in a puddle. Then spent 3 minutes staring at the intro scene. Easy 100% but 30 minutes of padding after 2 minutes of actual gameplay was kind of annoying.
Bad game with broken achievements, but at least it was technically playable. That's more than I can say for a handful of other games I tried this month.

The month of October was a very productive month for my backlog assassination. I’m moving soon and my PC has been packed so I was only able to play on my Steam Deck for nearly the entire month. This prevented me from streaming on Twitch and playing certain games, but also forced me to play some games that I otherwise wouldn’t have. I’m writing this post on mobile so I will not be as detailed as I have been before.
I was able to beat 11 games in October, and I managed to get 100% achievements in 7 of those games. All of the games except for one of them, Lil Gator Game, were part of the October PAGYWOSG event.
Games I beat in October: LEGO® DC Super-Villains, Costume Quest, Maid of Sker, and Terror of Hemasaurus
Games I 100% completed in October: Void Scrappers, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Human Resource Machine, Lil Gator Game, There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension, Pinball Spire, and Machinarium
I enjoyed most of them but I didn’t really care for Costume Quest, Maid of Sker, or Terror of Hemasaurus. I still finished them but I had no interest in cleaning up remaining achievements. Pinball Spire and Void Scrappers were better than I expected.
So far in November I have completed two games with 100% achievements but I will cover those in a separate post at/after the end of the month. By then I will have moved from Massachusetts to Connecticut and I’ll be back on my PC. Take care, assassins!

Mostly just played Rocket League and BattleBit Remastered this month which is nothing new, but I did play some new stuff and revisited some older games for extra achievements. I also replayed Sonic Mania, and did some speedruns of the first level. It would have been nice to do more but I am preparing to move so not as much time for gaming.
Who Muted Uncle Marcus? is a FMV game where you need to solve the mystery of who poisoned Uncle Marcus. I expected it to be cringe but it’s actually pretty funny. I wouldn’t call it a “fun” game but it was a nice experience. I had beaten it before but I revisited the game to get the many achievements I was missing.
I don’t care for visual novels, but at least the achievements are easy to get. I used a guide to get 100% in Magi Trials. Visuals suck, story sucks.
Tried the new skate. game, but it seemed to interfere with my streaming software so I ended up uninstalling it. Then it was included in this week’s Alienware Arena Steam Quests so I just idled the game for an extra hour. I do want to play it some more, but if it keeps messing with my streams I am going to uninstall again.
Tried Luck be a Landlord and it felt like I did pretty good for my first attempt. It’s a decent slot machine-based roguelike. I really enjoyed Balatro (got 100% on mobile) and when I heard this game was an inspiration for the Balatro developer I knew I had to try it. Will most likely be revisiting it, but probably not going to go for 100%.
Pinball Spire seems good, but I got interrupted while playing it so I don’t have much to say about it.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby has a good art style but I didn’t enjoy the gameplay. Maybe it gets good eventually but I’ll probably never play it again.
I guess I should make my first post since I started using this site in 2018. I will just recap my BLAEO activities for last month, which was August 2025.
- I got 100% achievements in Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice as my PAGYWOSG game for the month, after getting 100% in Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Die for PAGYWOSG in July. I tried to avoid using guides as much as possible but I did get a little bit of help from time to time.
- I beat Refunct which was kinda mid. It was short so I decided to try 100% but I ended up giving up. There were 2 speedrun achievements and the second one was too difficult for me. I could have done it with more planning and practice but I didn’t enjoy the game enough to put in that effort.
- I also started a game called Boti: Byteland Overclocked and beat the first level. The voice acting was okay but the movement was slow and I didn’t really care for it. Disappointing, probably not gonna beat this one.
This past month I revisited many games with varying levels of success. Here are their stories.
- Mail Mole is a game I started back in 2022 and nearly beat, but I lost interest and moved on with my life. Last month I went back to this game and started a new save file. I managed to 100% the game, which would have been pretty easy if not for the speedrun achievements. Some levels were easy to get gold medal times on but a few were quite difficult.
- Another game I revisited after giving up in 2022 is de Blob but I unfortunately did not beat 100% it like the other games I mentioned. In fact, I still haven’t beaten the game at all. I am still working on it and I am determined to beat it this month, but I will not be going for 100% on this one.
- Super Sami Roll is another one I revisited from, you guessed it, 2022! I didn’t beat it then, and I didn’t beat it now. I continued from my previous save file this time and beat a few extra levels. The physics kinda suck and I only have enough patience to play for short periods at a time. Will I eventually beat the game? Maybe. Will I get 100% achievements? Unlikely. Either way, I am not giving up on this game just yet.
- Come on Baby! is a weird minigame game that I first played in 2023. I managed to get one more achievement but I think I am finally going to give up for good. I beat most of the Summer minigames except for one that I don’t think I will be able to overcome. Unfortunately the Winter games are locked until you beat the Summer ones so I am stuck.
- Finally we have Smushi Come Home, a wholesome 3D Platformer that I 100% completed in 2023. But if I already got all the cheevos, why did I load it up again? Well, it’s because the devs updated the game and added 3 more achievements, stealing away one of my completed games! I ran into a glitch when talking to NPCs that made things a bit more difficult than they should’ve been. The text boxes were being automatically skipped so I was unable to read what they wanted me to do! Despite this I was able to figure out where to go and what to do, reclaiming my 100%
