Shifting what I’m playing around a bit as I wasn’t really enjoying A Story About My Uncle, and even if it’s short I don’t like beating games just to beat them if I’m not having fun. The grapple mechanic was neat, but it was becoming repetitive and always felt a bit clunky. Switching in ADOM which I have no illusions about actually beating, but as long as I play a game and give it time until the fun wears off I consider it a win.
Just started a run as an orc fighter in ADOM. Island Off Outer Darkness just started to get really weird. And finding myself surprised to be really enjoying Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing. It’s a good bit of old school cart racing.

If that’s any consolation, A Story About My Uncle never gets much better than what you see at the beginning. Some parts like the inverted ice caves and grappling through falling stalactites are actually rage-inducing. I enjoyed it overall but it’s a game that starts to wear thin before it’s over.
Congrats on your beaten games! Keep them coming!
That’s the sense I was getting. I got through the sequence with the big eye monster which added some tension but wasn’t particularly difficult.
