“We must celebrate. Mother, We need cake”
A re-release of the (cult) classic game about whimsically rolling everything you can into a single wriggling ball - starting from the size of a coin, getting pushed around by rats, and growing until you can roll up whole islands. Full of whacky but charming music, visuals, and characters. I think if i'd played this in my childhood, i might've turned out slightly differently
A nice short game to start the month; on to the next

I played way too much Katamary Damacy AND We Love Katamari on the PS2, and man, those were good times. I like your comment about turning out differently, I hope that worked for me hahahaha
Musical highlights: “Walking on a Star!” and “Katamari on the Rocks” 🤣
The music was so much fun - i’ve been listening to some tracks at work since playing this. Hopefully no one can hear it or they might think.. differently.. of me
For me it’s just fascinating how games with this level of weirdness came from giant publishers in the past. I doubt any focus group has ever returned an idea like that, and yet, Namco greenlit it back in the day, and the rest is history. Nowadays I cannot imagine a publisher like Namco approving something like that … it’s just a lot of safe games from the big names. Here hoping indie devs keep surprising us :)
