This took a while. First have was quite enjoyable. Just going to a new planet to scan everything, grinding resources and finding new things to do was fun. After that the random algorithm started to lose its edge. It was easier to see the repeating pattern. New planets were no longer wonderful new visits. They were the same dust ball with slightly different name. Quests were the same. Money lost its meaning when you had hundred of millions in bank and nothing to do with. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the game at first even if in the end, galaxy so full of stars ended up empty.

I think I understood the minimalism aim the devs had with this one. It kinda works but the basic gameplay loop isn't that fun after first couple hours. I guess everything is designed for co-op sessions as managing everything by self is tedious. It also has strange race with time. Monster waves get harder after each day but it is better to expand without taking risks. Otherwise you get wiped out. Not that it matters as there is no game over in this game. Each loss just means couple more hours of grind. The game gets very repetitive. Five islands where you keep doing the same stuff. They even copy their own boss fight design. In the first island, the fight has "one round". With each island, the number of rounds increases by one. So imaginative. Would have hoped for some variation or even different fights. Might be more fun with company.

Thanks! Haven’t really played games like Moonlighter before. It is a nice combination of adventuring and running shop.
