Three HOGs. They are nice, don't have any annoying mechanic and don't have boring plot. But they weren't amazingly good, that's why they're getting 4 stars each. Animations are smooth, background images are detailed. But HO sequences are really simplified, which can be considered as minus. But they're really easy to get 100% in them which make them perfect candidates for completionists.

Anna's Quest

Won on SteamGifts Adventure
9,2 hours playtime, 39 of 39 achievements (100%)

Nice adventure game about girl that wants to help her grandpa. She has to fight evil witch, rides a dragon few times and spend time around rather dumb royal guards with her bear-friend. Plot is kinda predictable, but at the same time game doesn't suffer from any game-breaking bugs. Only once I was stuck in a wall (because I wanted to rush through one section and game didn't took it nicely) and had to redo whole level, as game doesn't have frequent autosaves.

Inventory is not intuitive, as I'm used to pressing space or RMB to open it. And here it's binded to " I " without ability to change it. But overall game mechanic is ok. And this game doesn't suffer from "broken age syndrome" where devs want us to use some weird logic or remember insignificant details "from before", that are needed to push plot ahead.

Plantera

Plantera ⭐️⭐⭐☆☆

Won on SteamGifts Clicker
10 hours playtime, 29 of 29 achievements (100%)

It's nice but tedious game about having a fruit garden. In fact I spend more time on it, just didn't feel like grinding in online mode, so I switched Steam into offline mode and farmed few achievements without having "extra" time in it.

You basically plant vegetables on the ground, bushes in the middle to have fruits and trees to have apples or smth. Game automatically gives you helpers, so they pick all fruits for you. You also buy dogs to scare off foxes, bunnies and birds. And that's all. That's why it may be perfect game for kids, as it'd give them something to do without any form of violence. But if you don't like games like cookie clicker or clicker heroes it's not for you.

Oxenfree

Oxenfree ⭐️⭐⭐⭐☆

Story rich Horror
14,5 hours playtime, 13 of 13 achievements (100%)

I really like this game. It's not predictable, but unique. You land on island and have to leave it after you learn that there are ghosts on it.

There are 3 achievements for beating game in "nice" "assholish" and "silent" way. And it really works, as it feels different when you try to be nice and supportive, assholish and cold or just silent (there are more interactions between other characters that way). You have to beat game at least 3 times to grab all achievements, but it's not tedious due to different main character approaches plus after 1st playthrough you can choose to move into another playthrough with game remembering that you already beat it once. And it unlocks other dialogues and stuff like "Hm I think I already did this, but I don't know why".

It's not horror game in Amnesia-style, so there's no stuff that actively chase you (that was my biggest concern about this game aspect). It's more about whole atmosphere and (sadly) screamers. It's not that they shove some ass-scary image on you, but it's normal that you just walk somewhere thinking what you have to do next, and without warning there is image of screen-big pixelized wolf in the distance. Maybe for horror-lovers it's nothing, but I was jumping every time this happened to me. Not only on 1st playthrough, but on 2 others as well xD (I still don't know how I managed to beat Alien: Isolation lolz)

Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 ⭐️⭐⭐⭐☆

Action FPS Open world
27 hours playtime, 33 of 50 achievements (66%)

It started nicely as open-world game with a bow. But after not much time it turned out that bow is not really effective, and sneaky approach is annoying. As game is clearly designead as Rambo-bum type.

I played firstly in co-op with Fnord and... it's buggy. It's separate from main campaign, you basically have to run through corridor levels, killing everything on your way. At some point it didn't acknowledge that we did bring all missiles that were needed to end mission, so we decided to kill ourselves and try again from checkpoint. Turned out I became invincible, as I wasn't able to kill myself by firing RPG missiles under my legs. Lolz. So had to start over from main menu.

Single player is a typical open world game with tons of things to collect / contracts "kill x" to fulfill, and not wisest plot. You start as bratty kid of rich parents, to turn into effective killing machine after few days. Yes. There is also "love plot", and dumb choice at the end (concerning this important love story). I played in Far Cry: Blood Dragon firstly and had deja-vu whole time playing in FC3. You climb on some tower to uncover map, then you take over enemy camp(s) and in the end advance plot little further. And repeat. I had FC4 on my wishlist, but after beating FC3 I removed it. I see it's clearly not my game type, so no need to play 3rd time in the same thing.

Although game is good. Graphic for 5 y/o game is really good, and light years away from more recent games like Fallout 4 (albeit they're both open-world games, and it shows nicely how terribly limited is Beth engine) and jungle still looks amazing. Enemy AI is sufficient, nothing terribly bad, but also not wisest folks around (you can kill whole camp using RPGs and still get "undetected" exp prize, as they didn't see you, noone cares that they were bombarded with rockets from distance and they won't turn on alarm). And it's fun when you try to kill enemy with sneak attack, but he's attacked by emu bird and killed xD

Nudity Match-3
27 hours playtime, 15 of 20 achievements (75%)

: ]

Match-3 game with perverted ladies. Game is endless, but I was able to spend nights with all characters, so I count it as beaten. Now I just need to farm rest of achievements. But I'm doing it in offline mode, as It got quite tedious at this point, and I play one or two levels, start to do something else and forget that it runs in background. So I don't want to have some terribly enormous playtime in it.

Every girl has her preferences, so you have to buy certain gifts to earn more exp. You use it to upgrade your traits. And for completing match-3 games you earn money to buy those gifts. Repeat xD. There is not much nudity, as there are only few naked images of ladies after last date, and naked image of girl on the night date (boobs!).

TRISTOY

TRISTOY ⭐️⭐☆☆☆

Action Co-op
2 hours playtime, 10 of 30 achievements (33%)

God, this game is bad. Characters are flat and without much sense, puzzle elements are simple and it feels they were put there to fill otherwise empty rooms. Boss fights are repetitive and boring. Characters have problems with object collisions, so platforming elements are annoying. Achievements are bugged, and I did get one for "finish the game without dying" or "play Tristoy with a friend next to you" albeit dying like crazy and playing via the internet, but didn't get ones for beating few bosses along the way or dying few times in trap rooms. I played with Fnord, and game is so broken that it teleported us through whole Sphinx riddle stuff, so we weren't even able to hear them, not to mention answer and get achievements. Key bindings are not-changeable.

There is one positive thing about it tho - it's short. So you don't suffer for too long. It's also nice proposition to give it to your enemy. Make them suffer!

And few games I'm playing recently

- King's Bounty: The Legend (no achievements) - didn't play in it past month, have to come back to it.

- Massive Chalice - it cost 2€ in recent Steam sale, so why not? They say you can like it or really don't. So I want to play and decide myself.

- Road to Gehenna DLC from Talos Principle (2 of 4 ach) - played a little more, tho I'm bored with it quickly. So it will have to wait for better times - just like last month.

- Star Wars: knight of the Old Republic (37 of 57 ach) - Yay 6 more achievements since last update \o/. But I'm making progress really slow, as it's so hard to play as bad girl D:

Non-steam games:

I plan to play in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Unravel and This War of Mine by paying for one month for Origin Access. I was thinking about getting it in March to play in ME:A trial, but I know I will want to play through whole game after starting it. And I don’t plan to buy it in other version than GOTY for like 20€. So it’d be annoying to have started quests, but being unable to complete them ; D

I’ve also completed Plantera this month, but I’m not as positive about it as you are! I though the game looked kinda cute, but it was really boring. I mostly bought the upgrades that made your farm collect money while you weren’t running the game.

I think I’ll add Oxenfree to my wishlist, I’ve heard more positive words about it :)
Pretty nice list for this month!

It’s been a while since I played Far Cry 3, but I remember using the bow quite a lot. It’s a good weapon for one-shot stealth kills as long as you weren’t out of range and charged a solid hit. I don’t remember the upgrade system though, so maybe the bow wasn’t as effective in the early stages. I certainly agree about the game’s focus on the “Rambo” playstyle because it gives you a lot of other powerful weapons to choose from. :)

EvilBlackSheep

Congrats on the completions :)

I really liked Oxenfree, I have to go back for the other playthroughs (Silent & asshole) and see what changed :D
