This was basically 2D Doom and I absolutely loved it. There were some levels that kicked my ass but overall it was pretty doable.
I was excited when I first saw that The Master Chief Collection was headed to PC, as I’ve always wanted to play the series. It was well worth the wait! Definitely looking forward to play the rest of them in 2020 (hopefully).
Played through this in ScummVM to get the voice acting of the Special Edition in the original game (I thought the remastered graphics looked absolutely disgusting). A classic Point ‘n Click Adventure game that I hadn’t played before. The characters were all very charming and it was a really funny game! Had me laughing out loud a bunch of times.
A great 2D shooter with bullet time and some really neat mechanics. Kicking a pan into the air and shooting at it, resulting in them ricocheting into enemies was one of my coolest gaming moments of 2019.
Quite proud that I beat this without using abilites. The amount of times I got fucked over by trucks that reacted differently though…
A great beat-em-up where the focus is on parrying and dodging attacks. I sucked at the beginning but when I got into the rhythm I got really into it. Seeing those Gold medals pop up was immensely satisfying.
I’ll definitely go back to this game next year to give the New Dawn mode a try.
There were some great moments in this but I was just utterly bored the whole way through. I usually like walking simulators but this one did nothing for me.
