Finished in June(4-7)

The second part of month gave me some reaaly cool, solid games, and nothing that dissapoint me. Although I feel, that the game I’m playing right now will be the game of the month, if only I manage to finish it before month’s end.

Spring Falls

Of course I bought this itchio huuuge bundle of indie games. I found 10, which I actually want to play, and started with this one. And BOY, how good it is! It’s just a very small indie puzzle game - you have to modify the environment to give seeds access to water, and make them bloom. But it’s so zen and relaxing. The music is spot on, this little guitar sound, which just calm you immidiately, the visuals are simple, but very nice. The riddles aren’t very hard, but you need to think a while. The only downfall was its lenght. I finished after 2 hours, and I want more.

Thermo Sudoku

I bought this game, because I really like the You Tube channel, which is connected to it, and I wanted to support it a bit. It just collection of 40 sudokus - a special kind of “thermo” sudokus, with some extra rules. I’ve solved every one of them, so it wasn’t extremaly hard, but good mind training.

It was supposed to be my long game for a month, although it was a bit shorter than I expected. A fantasy stealth game, a bit similar to Thief, this kind of genre. You are a goblin, you want to steal something from the huge cytadel and you are traversing through different parts of this citadel. I really was enjoying this game - the level design is great - you have multiple paths, and you need to think, which way is the safest one. You also have a lot of little special abbilities, which are giving you just a little advantage over the enemies. The story - I was really suprised - this game has one of the better executed twists I’ve seen recently. I was shocked, but at the same time - I felt that I had every piece of the puzzle, I just didn’t connect them. The only major downfall is that basically after half of the game, you are going back, so you are seeing the same levels, just in the opposite way. They are a bit different, with different enemies, but still, I know this enviromnent and those paths. But all in all good game, I want to play a sequel.

Wow. I’m a little shocked. After huuuuge disapointment, which was Sonic Adventures, I thought I won’t find good Sonic game, maybe apart Sonic Mania. But this one - it is fun. Just pure fun and joy to play. You have nine levels, every one of them can be played in two modes - classic 2d Sonic, and 3d Sonic. As I understand, every level represents one of the previous Sonic games, which I believe, but since I didn’t play many of them most of them were new to me. After beating a level you are unlocking 10 challenges for each mode - those challenges are mostly very fun, and often changing rules of the game a bit. The 2d Sonic levels are traditional platformers, 3d Sonics are the mix between 2d sections, and something I would call “endless runners” inspirations. The movement is smooth, the visuals are very nice and cartoony, the music is spot on. It’s just a very good game.

I went and added Spring Falls to my Steam wishlist. Looks like something I’d enjoy :)

If only you don’t care about price for really short game. 7 dollars for 2 hours is a bit much.

I’ll wait for a better discount & it’s cheaper for me since I don’t use dollars in Steam. Thanks for the heads up!
