Hi there, I have just beaten/completed over 150 games!
…because I just signed up and started categorizing them :D
What do you guys do with games you’ve already completed outside of Steam, though? Mark them as done or not?

Cheers!

Spitfyr

I have created an own category “beaten outside of steam” and assigned these games to it: http://backlog-deepness.rhcloud.com/lists/wdvmqmd

I mark them as beaten/completed. I don’t consider a game part of the backlog regardless of what platform I beat it on. After all, the games lists on the site are for me to assess my backlog and give me an overview of what I didn’t play yet (and may have missed out on).
… Achievement hunters may of course disagree. I guess ultimately it comes down to “do you consider those games part of your backlog or not?”

Hi there, welcome to the site!

I do the same as Spitfyr, the games I’ve finished on another platform are on their own list and marked as beaten.

Welcome :) Since I have so many games not on steam I have a list in my bio of all my nonsteam games and their statuses. I also have added a mastered status to games that I’ve gone above and beyond with.

If you don’t want that kind of mess in your bio then you can just make a single post of all the games outside of steam that you’ve beaten so far

Thanks for the tips! I’ve created a list for it, too. But adding games to lists seems to take much more effort than categorizing them

Congrats and welcome!

I don’t have many games I’ve played off Steam but those I do, I don’t mark them as finished unless I did so on Steam but it’s up to you how you organise your games. :)

Hey, welcome to BLAEO, nice to have you here :)

The games I have that I have finished outside of Steam are all games that I haven’t played since 2014 or earlier, so I plan to replay them all (with glorious PC gaming master race graphics), I just leave them in the “unplayed” category and go by Steam playtime. If I finish all my currently unplayed games first they will feel fresh enough to come back to.
