Hello Everyone!

I got a Xbox one Controller and went to try a racing game, i never played many racing games, but had fun with this one!

Gameplay: This and older game i wasn’t expecting much in terms of physics, but the game has nice physics. The racing is fun and there is a nice variety of events, from Rally to Gymkhana. The car choices are really nice, from older cars, to buggies, to more modern rally cars.

Graphics/Visuals: The graphics are good, car bodies are well done, cars get dirty and collect snow while you’re driving, there is rain and water splashes on puddles. it’s a really nice looking game.

Sound/Music: Sound is good too, i think engine sounds are well done and there are some nice details like different sounds one snow or dirt.

Overall it’s a nice and fun game, i might come back to it and do some more achievs, but for now i think i’m gonna try GRID!

I also didn’t play much racing game. Tried this one but found it kinda eh. I guess it’s that it’s a dirt racing game so it plays very differently from normal racing games on formal tracks and such, so I found the turning weird cuz the ground seems to be pulling(?) my car in weird directions.
Glad you enjoyed it tho. :D I might give it a go again to see if I’ll like it or not, since I just finished a game.

I think the game has driving assists, you played with them off or on? i turned them off

I think I turned them on? I didn’t really change much settings. So it’s the driving assist pulling me? 0-0 Then I must suck then since I felt really weird playing it meaning it assisted me a lot. xD

Shina

i think the assists don’t let your car spin and brake bit for you, not sure, you might spin your car a bit the first times, but it’s much funnier when you get used to it

If you liked playing Dirt 3, I think you’ll enjoy the Grid series as well. :) Obviously it’s more about track racing, but it has a variety of classes and race types like you have in Dirt.

Are you planning to start with Grid, the first one?

Shina

Yeah, i started from the first one, it looks a it harder than Dirt 3, turned off all assists, never spinned my car so much xD

One tip considering GRID 1: The “stability control” driving assist has a bit weird design flaw in this game. If you have it “off”, your cars lose a large amount of grip/downforce compared to AI cars, especially noticeable when you move on to faster racing tiers. It’s kind of an odd bug in the game physics, so I recommend keeping the SC setting on. :)

thank you for the advice, much better now!
